I am communicating with one of the vendors about a wedding band. He sent me this info and image, but I don''t quite understand all of the specifications. Do you guys think this ring (width/height/etc) would look right with my engagement ring? My ring is around 2.2 mm wide; I''m not sure of the height. It''s not a high setting though... He thinks both rings are somewhat rounded on the sides, so would go together ok

Here''s the data I was given. I''ll post my e-ring next...

We haven''t discussed the stones that will go in the setting yet...

From "Wide Stone" on, I don''t really know what the specifications mean. If anyone can help, I''d be very grateful.

I''m just guessing here, but I think "wide top" is the width of the diamond part of the band, i.e. you say your engagement band is 2mm and the "wide top" value is the corresponding dimension for the wedding ring. The other thing to keep in mind is the "height top" value, depending if you want your rings to fit flush. This is the height above your finger. Hope this helps!

Thanks for your help!

One thing I didn''t mention is that the vendor said that my engagement ring is rounded, and he doesn''t know of a manufacturer of anniversary bands that make a similar rounded band. This band that he sent me seems to be slightly rounded, he said. I''m wondering, though, if that will be a big deal, since from the top of the ring, you''ll mostly see diamonds, right? If the wedding band is not as rounded as my ring, will that look odd?

i think the band would work fine. does the vendor have a return policy in case you order it and are not completely happy?

As long as this isn''t a "custom order" I''ll have 21 days to send it back. I''ll definitely check with them about that...thanks!

I think that it will look pretty with your e-ring, but the return policy is a nice cushion to have just in case.

I think it will look lovely w/ your e-ring. Where are you buying this ring? (hope you don''t mind me asking!)

There is a very similar ring on overstock.com that is pretty decent priced. Since I don''t know the specs of this one,I can''t compare it, but you can check it out. Just another option for ya. Its only around $100 as well with a 30 day return policy as long as its not worn.

I think this band will look beautiful with your e-ring. As you say, you`ll mainly see diamonds on the wedding ring from the top, so the fact that your e-ring is rounded shouldn''t make much difference. My e-ring is knife-edge and my wedding ring is combination channel and prong set anniversary ring, and they look great together IMO despite being ''not matchy''.

I think it''s a great combo! Lovely...

They''d look beautiful together. I agree with others about the return policy though-it''s just handy to have as a backup.

They will make a nice set together. But if they don''t it''s nice to have the return policy.

krisvrn, this ring would be from niceice.com. I have been corresponding with them the past couple of days and am very impressed with the level of information provided and the quickness in response. If I decide to go with them for the ring, I will definitely let you all know the outcome and post a photo. For months, I had planned to get my band from Signed Pieces, but then they stopped making the gold bands with the smaller diamonds. So, I''ve been on the search for another place that could provide something in my price range. There''s a couple of other possibilities, too, I''ve recently discovered. I''ll let you know all once I find out, in case others are interested in anniversary bands...
