Its GIA report number 2126336846 1.7 carat si1 h

Looks good! It doesn't quite fall into the AGS Ideal parameters, but it is definitely a stone that I would consider. The inclusions look favorable, too. What price are they asking?

19,900 which seems high. Am In right in thinking this?

that seems a little high compared to online...stones with similar specs are ~15-19k (you can do a search on PS under resources-->diamond search)

Yep, too high. Good Old Gold has an AGS0 1.73 H SI1 (7.8mm) at $18,104 and no sales tax. WhiteFlash has one at $18, 200.

I see virtual GIA Excellents listed with your specs from $14-16k. I think you should be able to get them down to $16-17k.

I will have to see. I didnt realize that the strong blue wouldnt negatively affect the stone. I had thought that was a bad thing.

Thanks! You can tell I am new here!

It is a myth. Very few stones with strong blue fluor. have negative effects from it, according to experts here. I think it is really a special natural feature in reality! I would purposely look for one to get the price down. The one thing about Brian Gavin is that his blue fluor. stones have been pre-screened so you know there is no problem with them. It's just one of those weird things that some people still think it is bad, but that can be great for a buyer since the stones are discounted!

HI:

This, but SB fluor. (or any fluor. for that matter) is a preference.

cheers--Sharon

I agree, Sharon! I prefer it!

Just watched the video and I must say... awesome!

Good! As long as we can keep that somewhat secret, the prices hopefully will stay discounted! It could just as easily be a price premium for those stones as far as I am concerned!

I just need to chime in that whether or not you wish your stone to have any fluorescence should be a totally personal choice.

Some people like it, some hate it and completely don't want any on their stones at all. The 'popular' mindset on this flip flops as well over time.

Right now, no fluourescence commands a price premium vs with fluorescence. That is market fact. If you wish to take advantage of that price discount and enjoy your Strong Blue diamond, by all means.

Personally, I love having a stone with Fluour, but it isn't better or worse. Just a preference. Also, fluor makes a stone cheaper to buy.

I have experienced a diamond with VSBF and found it to be really cool as shown below. I was looking at two cushions that were both D in color. One had VSBF and the other hand none. Photos were taken indoors beside a window.

Cool effect but I wouldn't want it to be my main e-ring stone. You have to decide if you are comfortable with the effects.

That is beautiful, Charmy! I hope I can find a stone with M-SBF eventually myself! It is easier to have one as a solitaire because you don't have to worry about it matching sidestones or halo in the sun. My original diamond had MBF and I didn't even know it for 25 years until a jeweler mentioned it!
