I am bit concern about color and size?
Should I go for a bigger perfect square (without corners) instead?

A bit of history that may help this topic:
* I''ve been with my girlfriend for 10 years now
* She is a down the earth person. But, her taste is on the upscale side of teh equasion. If possible, I believe her choice would be 2 carat.
* I don''t want to go over budget - 4K (all in)
* I like teh Tiffany Novo as a reference

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SUGGEST ME ANY ALTERANTIVES OF OTHER SQUARE SIZES.

Finally, if I go for the Jubilee...what setting should I pick to stay around 3,5K?

Thank you all for helping with my first diamond purchase.

Sincerely, AS

What shape stone has she specifically expressed interest in?

I want keep it as a surprise. But, I know she likes the Tiffany Novo. Other than that, I''m taking the risk and going crazy with this research :)

Bottom, line is...
1. I''m not sure if this will impress (her and her girlfriends) as .70 carat in a pave setting
2. Plus, I was looking for something whiter
3. Would be better go bigger with solitare setting?
4. Can''t find other Jubilees in teh web? Is this something to be concerned?

In the other hand, I really liked the Jubilee from the pictures (along with its price)

Thank you all again!

I think it is a beautiful stone. However, if you want to copy the Tiffany Novo, I think you should ask GOG about a square hearts and arrows stone which is technically a cushion. GOG has so many settings, so I would suggest asking them what they have in white gold with a thin diamond shank.

Thank you, everyone!

Assuming we don''t need to copy Novo and for a unknow reason the Jubilee cut got me.

What can be accomplished with the stone posted (to overcome the dowsize of color and size)? What do you think about the 4c''s on teh stone attached?
Any (pro or cons) on the Jubilee idea?
Should I look for better quality and similar shape with bigger carat and maybe spend a bit more?

I appreciate your thoughts.

I know this is a month out, but I just saw your post. I have a 1.05 ct. Jubilee and I ADORE it. I love that it is a unique cut and it looks so cool. I wish I could afford to get the one you are looking at for a pendant.

Jubliees aren't being cut any more. I felt lucky to get one. I am having mine set in a Tacori setting, but the sky is the limit. Look for settings designed for Asschers and you should be OK.

I totally agree with eBree, so I would get a whiter stone and put it into a halo for sure. It''ll look much larger that way and you''ll have a squarish stone.

I love the Jubilees. Don''t mean to push you up in price but if were me I''d get the 1.14 ct. and a very simple white gold setting for now. The size difference will be noticeable. I wouldn''t worry about a J but some people don''t like the warmth, some like it and others don''t notice it. so it''s very personal. Tiffany only sells I or better but there are some lovely J''s and lower on PS. It wouldn''t hurt to call GOG and talk to someone about your concerns.
