I would think so but you can call to find out, they should still be open. Ask about tax also, I know they ship free and no tax to anywhere in United States

Can you say what was attractive about that particular one? If you''re looking for that specific a) vendor, b) approximate size, c) color, and d) clarity, there seemed to be a number on Blue Nile''s nice interactive selection device that have those features, but cost less. If you''d stay with Blue Nile, I''d rather you pay $6 more, and get one that comes with data so you can check for yourself it''s cut quality.

I''d suggest you read the tutorial here, consider checking out the shopping suggestions under my signature, and consider that for the money you''re willing to spend, it''s appropriate to validate the claim of ideal cut, and there are tools on this site that can help you do this.

There is nothing special about that stone in particular. I''m looking for a Round Brilliant, 1ct stone. I want the best cut possible and I don''t want to go any lower than G color or VS2 clarity.

With that link you just pointed me to I learned about "hearts and arrows", which I guess I''d also like to have.

I probably wont be buying anything for another year and a half, so I''ve got lots of time to look and learn.

I''d also say my upper budget is about $8000. I''d prefer around $7000, but I will go as high as 8 if I find a nice stone.

How does this sound ? Prices are not going down... so you might not want to wait all that much.

It would be interesting to see the new GIA cut grades, but those will not follow follow the H&A standard. That''s a couple of months away.
