they're offering me a deal of $2778 , and I'm not sure if I can get the pricescope discount on top of that, but if I can it would be 5% off w/ bankwire so about $2640

what do you guys think? idealscope look ok? inclusions look ok? price good? only catch for me is that it goes a little over my budget (originally $2000-2500). My ideal specs are about 0.60-0.7 c, G-H, SI1-SI2, ACA cut. So this one is at the "max" in each category.

throw into the mix that im so indecisive and i got some trouble on my hands lol

Hi there, it looks like a very nice stone, is it eye clean?

How would the James Allen H&A cut compare to WF''s ACA ?
I''m assuming both have the "strictest standards for cut measurements", etc... so are the basically of similar quality and performance?

But the main reason I''m looking at WF is in case I want to get a custom setting from them later on (b/c then there will be a discount on the setting price of a few hundred $s)

The JA link doesn''t seem to show an actual diamond, in my opinion the ACA could be an excellent choice if eyeclean, plus if you plan on a custom setting later from WF it might be best to stick with them.

ok so another aspect of my dilemma is... if I wait say 3-4 months, prices will probably have gone up a bit. How much do you really think they would have gone up by though?

It is really hard to say...Also you might be limited in what is available which matches your needs in ACA.

ok so basically if I were to buy this stone now, I''d be saving a bonus $220 on my setting price.

And currently the stone w/ my ideal specs (around 0.65 c, G-H, SI1, ACA) is probably valued around $2000-$2300 (estimated from GOG current stock). I could take a chance and assume that they will get a stone w/ specs near this in the next few months, then this is how much I''d save for a given price increase, comparing it to the stone they are offering me now:

APPROXIMATE
5% price increase - saves about $500-$350
10% price increase - saves about $425-$200
15% price increase - saves about $325-$100
20% price increase - saves about $225-$0

Wow, can you tell I''m an engineer yet, lol =D

So in other words, I''m thinking of waiting it out and taking a chance that they''ll get something closer to my lower specs in a few months. And even w/ a potential price increase, I think I''d end up saving a little bit of $ and I''d be fine w/ that.

Do any of you think the prices will increase more than 20% in the next 5-6 months? How likely is that?
