What do you think of this diamond for an engagement ring?

Hi everyone,

I've been using this site for a long time but this is my first post.

I'm in the process of having an engagement ring made for my girlfriend. I've decided to go to Leon Mege as I know my girlfriend loves his work.

The ring will have a cushion cut diamond with pave halo and shank.

I've been dealing with Leon's diamond conciege and he's been very helpful in looking for a diamond. He's just sent me this video of a diamond that fits my specs:

Modern cushion cut, 1.55 carat, G VS2.

What do you guys think? I fully trust him, but want to know what others think too.

Um, I'm not sure. He just sent me through the video link and its specs.

So from looking at that video you think it's bright and sparkley? That's exactly what I want! Is it a good video to see that sort of thing?

I've got more information on the diamond now. Any changes in opinion? Or does this still look like a good diamond?

Actually I don think it will affect much the stone, but personally I wouldn´t buy a stone with a very thick girdle.

Why's that? Is it the look you don't like? Or is it more of a quality thing? At least it's not a very thin girdle that's easily chipped! Lol.

I just prefer medium girdles. Anyway, you are right, a thin girdle would be worse

The stone is overall very nice, if you are happy with the price and the conditions take it.
