What do you think of these inclusions

Here''s a picture of an SI2 stone I''m considering. It''s F color with an HCA of 1.9. The IdealScope looks great and it shows good H&A patterns. I''m a little worried about the inclusions though.

I personally don't like to see inclusions, but is that something
a prong could hide? There are a lot of very knowledgeable people

Is that the 1.30 F SI2 from DI? I was eyeballing that a few weeks back, VERY NICE stone with numbers.

You can't even see the inclusions in the big picture there! If that one big one on the edge is the one that gives it the SI2 grading, that is an amazing stone in terms of cleanliness elsewhere. Cover that feather with a prong and you are SET. Beautiful, really lovely.

does the inclusion break the surface?

If it does the experts have said many times that it is a risk not worth taking pass on the diamond.

Actually, this diamond might be just fine.

The inclusion looks like an open feather. Meaning the feather breaks the surface of the diamond. In this case, most probably the girdle. But the feather is clear, indicating it's a healed fracture formed during the crystal growth process. If the feather was white or colored, that would tend to indicate a problem situation.

Hopefully a pro will chime in and give an expert opinion on this stone.

What magnification was used to show the gletz in the diamond.

It appears to me that the air pocket in the diamond is too big to be covered by a prong. And why would you want to cover a potential problem.

It is never a good idea to bend a prong over an air pocket trapped in a Diamond. During active wear of the ring and a hit of that prong say goodbye to your diamond.

As it was said elsewhere we cannot see if the air pocket extends through the surface of the Diamond.

What most people on this Internet website forget to include in their description is the price asked.
As long as you know exactly what you are buying and the price reflects what you are paying and the price meets your personal price point, buy it.
If you are willing to pay more and get a better diamond or better quality or better color let your fingers do the walking.
Buying anything is a personal decision.
You should consider all facets of the purchase and think for yourself. We wiuld all want you to buy a D Flawless 5 ct. Round for $XXX.XX but thsat is not always in the cards.

Well the stone, although beautiful is not eyeclean and the feather is white. It can't be covered by a prong and breaks the surface.
