Yes they are two totally different cuts and there is a 1 carat size difference between the two. What cut are you leaning towards???

Clarity makes no difference, color perhaps not... the shapes and sizes are so very different !

Between the two I'd go for the square emerald cut in theory, but those need to be seen. If anything, I'd try to compare the EC with a radiant of similar size & price.

Have you seen these two ?

I just saw them with the naked eye and looked at data from the certs, but will return later this week to Idealscope them.
Yes they are very different, but I like them both and suspect they are at a good price and was hoping to get your opinions on the numbers.

I couldn't find comps of both of them in the look up..

Rough price estimates would be greatly appreciated.

There are some. Try a slightly wider weight range: say 3 - 3.2cts for the emerald cut (try "asscher" cut for ref. about square ECs like yours). That should yield a few listings between 29 and 33k... The square ECs come with some premium - but there is no clear cut: the rectangular ones are listed between 25 and 31k - if you found your stone at a seller that does not care to set the squares apart, you may be in luck.

There are more radiants (taking G/VVS2, 2-2.2cts, GIA) priced anywhere from 15k to 20k...

There is no need to match table & depth & finish because these have little impact on price (excep for extreme values) ... in general. Which lab graded the stones does make a difference - GIA, AGS come tops for reputation and all the rest gets some systematic discount.

Both your stones are rather large for their weight - so I would expect the price to be a bit above those quoted for diamonds of the same grades and weight but smaller. For example, your asscher is as large as a 3.4 carat piece

... as far as I know.

Hope this helps a bit
