Did you read the reports that you posted? The stone only got fair on light return, fire, and scintillation (should be excellent on those) and a total HCA score of 5.9 and we recommend a score of 2.0 or less. It's a little deep and that makes it face up in diameter a little smaller than a 1.5 ct stone should. If the stone was discounted significantly, then I can see why you may have gone with it. But I hope you didn't overpay since the cut isn't so great. GIA "Excellent" cut is unfortunately a very broad range, and you may have stones ranging from truly excellent down to just acceptable.
