What do you think? Looking to buy asap!

Stick to GIA Ex/Ex of AGS 0 only.

Run through this tool: https://www.pricescope.com/tools/hca Anything under 2 is a pass. Anything from 2-3 is a maybe. Anything over 3 is a no.

BC2 offers idealscope images on their diamonds now, I understand. Get one for any diamond you are considering and post it here.

Also make sure anything you get that has SI1 rating is eyeclean, the vendor should be able to get the stone in and tell that.

The eternity by yoni and first b2c link both get 2.5's. The others were ruled out thanks to the tool. Thanks for the advice! :) Will try to get idealscopes to post.

They both have very strong blue fluorescence. how do you feel about that?

Both diamond are nice, but yes, post the IS images when you get them, that will be helpful.

I looked into these two and of course they are both located overseas right now. I'm fine with that except for the fact that I have to have the diamond in the setting and to me by 14th/15th of this month as I leave the country on the 17th (Monday). I am looking to just do a "temporary setting" probably around $400 then design it with her after I've proposed...hopefully this will help with the time issue! Thoughts? Also - I'm obviously open to US based diamonds but still haven't found any that meet my (somewhat challenging) requirements. I'm getting cocerned on finding what I want and getting it in the setting by the time I leave  :|

Looking at this one from James Allen:
1.61 JSI2
http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/J-SI2-Excellent-Cut-Round-Diamond-1519073.asp

Thoughts? HCA looked pretty good (3.1). Requested idealscope but said it would take 1-3 days.

In your opinions from GIA report, would it be eyeclean? Any other thoughts regarding this one appreciated - don't know if I can wait till the international ones get here.

Wait for the idealscope report. Ask if eyeclean. If it has florescence ask them to make sure it's not milky/cloudy.

JA also said " your diamond has great fire, brilliance, and scintillation and is very lively. Its inclusions blend rather well and it possesses a true "J" color. Additionally, its feather can be covered by a prong. This diamond is a great value and I highly recommend it for your diamond purchase."

Need advice urgently!

I definitely think you should be looking ONLY at in stock stones considering your timeline. The last stone looks okay if you are happy with J color and SI2 clarity. Is size the most important factor to her?

i wouldnt get it. good luck

can i ask why you want over 1.55ct?

reasons why?

Also - anyone have any reccommendations on seetings from James Allen? I'm going to do a "temporary" non custom setting that i'll then return after and get a really nice one with her input. So i'm thinking for the temp one, i want to stay under 500. I think she'd love pave for her actual setting, but maybe go for just a nice looking solitare for the temporary one (vs. a cheap pave). What do you think? And any specific recco's from JA?

:loopy: (me right now)
