Any AGS0 stone is likely to be a looker, but just to confirm, an idealscope or image would be really nice! But otherwise should be nice!

Can you post the crown and pavilion angles please?

here''s some more details... cut from the AGS certificate

Thanks! Can you get an Idealscope image for this diamond? It appears the crown and pav angles may fall into steep deep territory, and as a result this diamond could leak light and not perform as well as it might.

It looks like an old AGS0: no star & lower girdle length.

Actually do you have any other contenders?

what''s wrong with being an AGS-0 diamond ? I am not very familiar with the terminology...
can someone shed a light?

heres what it says ono the AGS report:

(see attached)

also I am going to receive a picture of the actual diamond later today or tomorrow from the vendor.

But the price seems to be right.. I can''t seem to find any other diamond same size/features for this $$. Unless you have any suggestions...

Need pictures.

Hello all...
I finally got a picture of the diamond I am planning on purchasing from JamesAllen.
I also received the following comments :
"Thank you for your interest in our 1.15 Carat I-VS1 Ideal- Cut Round Diamond. This diamond is available for immediate purchase and appears to be an excellent choice. The "I" color will appear perfectly white and will work wonderfully in a setting of either platinum, white gold or yellow gold. With this VS1, there are no inclusions visible to the naked eye. Please do not be concerned with the yellow spots within the image. This is simply something in the room where the photograph was taken that is reflecting off of the diamond. The small table percentage and perfect measurements of this diamond work together to create a bright, brilliant diamond that should definitely impress!"

I am looking for feedback ....
Thanks in advance!

Please can anyone send some feedback ... I have the diamond on hold and I need to get back to them sometimes today or early tomorrow...
I also found the perfect setting for it.

Oh and I forgot to say that the Price of the Round Diamond is $5900 (after PS discount) is this a good price?

I'd like to have everything done ... so I can get the ring by next week and hopefully propose mid June .

Thanks you all in advance for your help!!
This Forum has been very helpful.

Ciao.

This diamond is an old AGS 0 (old grading), I think (I''m almost certain) it won''t be a AGS 0 following the new cut grading. This crown/pavilion combo is steep/deep. This diamond probably has some leakage at the upper girdle, and in the table. But I can be wrong.

Ditto. Ask for an IdealScope picture.

The 2 following diamonds should look brighter and scintillate more, and they are cheaper for the same size!
Here are the links:
number 1
number 2

Thanks, but they are SI1 ...
I ''d Like to to go with at least VS1 or VS2

What is your budget? We can try to find a more beautiful VS diamond than the one you found.

I would like to spend a max of $6500 on the diamond..

I also found these:

[*] Alternative 1

[*] Altenative 2

But I need to find it from James Allen possibly because I want to get this SETTING HERE
and I did not find anything that is he same from WF or BN or GoG

any help would be appreciated!!!!

Thanks again!

I don''t understand... what is wrong with the one I am planning on purchasing from James Allen?
It sounds like a good one to me ..
VS1, 1.15ct I-Color, Ideal Cut AGS-0, Ideal-Polish/Simmetry

Can you see something wrong in the picture or in the attached report ? Because If it sounds pretty good to you guys, I think I have a winner... Maybe let''s just wait until I get the Idealscope tomorrow and i will post it here.

I could not find the right combo of diamond/setting from Whiteflash or GoodOldGold..
So I need to stick with James Allen or BlueNile

find attached report (AGS) let me know ...
Thanks again one more time for your help ..

It''s an old AGS 0, and it probably won''t receive AGS-0 anymore with the new grading standards. The crown is to steep for the pavilion, or the pavilion is to deep for the crown. To much weight retention.
As the Whiteflash/GOG diamonds I proposed are not the right combo for you, let me take a look at BN to see if they have something else.

If you look at the picture of the 1.15, 5 of the 8 arrows are white, and 3 are black. Knowing the angles of this stone, I think it''s reasonable to assume there is some leakage.

If there were no leakage, all of the arrows would be black.

diamond 1
diamond 2

Both sound great.
The first one has a VG symmetry, but the cut is EX, and the arrows will be big, I guess this stone scintillates like crazy.
Number 2 should be very nice, and it's perhaps more safe to choose this one, because the cert is newer (an older cert is sometimes a sign that nobody wants to buy that diamond). My guess is number 2 looks whiter.

Did you take a decision? Sorry, I''m just curious!

Sorry, I think the stone you chose is a steep/deep diamond
=> it will look smaller, and the light return won''t be the best.

It seems you really don''t like this stne... do you ? LOL

does anyone else have any feedback?
just to hear several opinions...

To be honest i think I don''t mind this diamond.. price seems to be reasonable (around $6000 usd) and my locar jeweller can actually buy it for me and put it on a nice platinum gipsy ring setting (2 small encarved diamonds on each side)

I am tempted to go with it ... because i cannot find anything this size at this price locally, and I am thinking to do everything at my local jeweller store ( It''s a VERY nice store here in Ottawa) as they can match the online prices, but I get a super plus service, and local warranty.

feedback feedback feedback please ! .... Thanks!!!
