What is GIS? Did you mean GIA or AGS?
Also, double check on crown and pavilion specs - are those percentages or angles?

Price looks pretty good. Definitely worth looking at, in my opinion.

Hi, you asked me about the designer for a setting in 3she''s thread, which one? I posted three... would be happy to help... but not sure which one caught your eye!

I agree, the price is right and so are the specs. What does the certificate say about fluorescence?

Thanks for the feedback guys - The diamond has no fluorescence

Curious though. I am pricing out similar diamonds on pricescope for comparison reasons and was wondering if you could tell me why a diamond like this one is so much cheaper to the diamond I am looking at.

And also - is an EGL diamond really this much less expensive than GIA and AGS?? The specs aren''t quite as good but look at the price......

You can definitely find diamonds that are higher and/or lower for what you mentioned. All you need to do is search the various vendors, of go to their sites indiivdually. Is there anything specific that you like about this diamond?

FYI, I looked at various diamonds using the vendors mentioned here, around 1.2 carats, highest cut grade, with an H color, VS2, and prices ranges anywhere from a low of 7k to 9KK. So you have wiggle room.

You don''t want EGL. They usually cost less because the grading may be a little loose. You can''t compare a G VS GIA and EGL because they may not be the same in reality.

Thats what I figured.. It makes me nervous that I seem to be paying on the higher end of the spectrum. But at the same time, the diamond I listed has almost perfect specs.

Regarding EGL, I personally did not look at them as a choice, because I was pressed for time to buy something. BUT, there are vendors out there that cherry pick and pick the "cream" of the crop, and sell them with AGS/GIA. Good luck on your search.
