I currently have this diamond on reserve. Could you guys please take a look at it for me and tell me what you think?

Here is what I have been looking for ideally.. Round, .9 carat, G-I, VS2 but mainly eye clean SI1, Ideal-Excellent and all for around the 5,500 range.

This diamond deviates from my parameters a bit but I have been told this .86 due to it's light performance would appear larger than a .9 that was lesser quality.

The diamond will be set in a WF Allegro in D setting: http://www.whiteflash.com/engagemen.../allegro-in-d-diamond-engagement-ring-159.htm

I think you need to check if it's eye clean. The crystal in the 9 o'clock direction bothers me. You can see it in the image and the certificate matches the image. With that said it may still be eye clean given the color of the crystal and how strict your definition of eye clean is.

I found a Brian Gavin blue that's $300 over your budget (after 5% pricescope discount, ~$5800) but it's over 1 carat.

1.04 ct I VS2 It's a VS2 so not as much concern with "eye clean" problem. If you don't mind fluor this is worth considering since it's over 1 ct. http://www.briangavindiamonds.com/diamond/diamond-detail/?product_id=BLAGS-104050213006

The .86 should be a lovely stone. If budget allows I would go with the BGD.

Agree that what you've reserved is lovely. Seems that you may want a bump in size...you can always drop in color to a G. A G is still pretty white!
