Hi guys,
I''d love your input on this diamond I''m thinking of buying from Excel Diamonds. I''m working with them vs the vendors on Pricescope because they made a ring for someone that used to post on PS that I really like and am hoping they can duplicate it for me. Judah assures me the feather inclusion does not run the gamut of the stone and won''t affect the integrity. He also said that Vatche could put the prong over it and that it''s an eyeclean, beautiful SI1. The picture doesn''t look as clear or impressive and some H&A''s I''ve seen on Whiteflash. Thoughts please on this diamond/it''s price/working with Excel??? Many thanks!

As long as these are the actual ideal-scope images of the actual stone, then it will be very nice.
A prong will easily hide the inclusion.

Ditto Garry.

The specs from the GIA report look great and so does the regular image!

In saying that it suggests there''s a possibility this wouldn''t be the corresponding ideal-scope. How can I verify that it is, since I would receive the diamond already set in a ring?

It looks pretty to me!

I''m sorry if this is a dumb question, but I searched the boards and didn''t see anything related to the topic. How do you verify that the idealscope image the vendor sends you in fact matches the diamond you''re getting, especially if the diamond is set when you receive it? Do you get it apprasied again after you receive and have the appraiser remove from setting and verify the same idealscope image? Thanks!!

Start off by assuming the vendor is honest and asking them if the images are of the exact stone or merely generic examples. Then if everything goes well and you buy the stone, take it AND all the backup documentation to an independent appraiser, who should be able to confirm things for you.
