Hi,

I''''m new to all this stuff, am choosing the ring together with my BF and found the following A. Jaffe ring that I was VERY drawn too. BUT it''''s a little "different". Here are two views attached.

Any of you more experienced gals have comments for me about practicality considerations? Or whether the ring is too busy? It''''s important to me that the ring is comfy, and I like that this one has a narrow band -- I hardly feel it -- and the prongs don''''t stick out to snatch on things (clothes). A bezel look, but a prong setting (if my terminology is correct).

I welcome your comments as we haven''''t oredered it yet!

Still researching the stone together with him. We are going to likely get a 1.3-1.4 H/VS or so and this forum has been great for info on what to look for in a stone.

Thanks, all!

I think this ring is gorgeous! Any chance of getting a side view?

Oooooh, I like it! The swoopy lines of the setting are so unique!

i think it looks great!

I love it! so swoopy and delicate

I think it''s a beautiful ring but have you considered what you want to do for a wedding band? If you add a wedding band on the same finger it may change the look of what you will be wearing. You could always wear a wedding band on the other hand as well! Just my thoughts! Gorgeous ring!

Thanks for the thoughts, Tropicalbarbi!

I''d likely get the matching wedding band too, which looks like this photo (or the similar version without the diamonds, to give it moreof that "stacked ring" look):

I do not like it. It does not look "balanced " until you pair it with its matching band. The problems are that it does not look good or "safe" (judging the sideview) on its own and that you are restricted to wearing its own matching band. I would like more choices with matching bands, so I can change the look from time to time.

I think its gorgeous and the profile is beautiful! I like the wedding band too but its not one you could wear on its own... but all in all lovely

I really like it. If it were me, though, I would move it to my right hand after the wedding and get a wedding band that stands on its own for my left hand. I like to be able to wear a wedding band without the ering if the mood strikes me.

I like the delicate swirls...very pretty.

If you love it then go for it. It''s not my taste.

Thanks for all the great feedback (both pro and con). I''ll give it more consideration, but I do love it and this ring may be the one!

do you know that brad pitt proposed to jennifer aniston with a similar ring? if you google it you may find it. she ended up only wearing her wedding band after they got married on her left ring finger.

it''s definitely a style all its own.

Thanks for the info, anitabee! I looked it up, and it is def reminiscent of Aniston's ring (pic below). I think the Jaffe ring is THE ring for me :)
