I am awful about eating, especially breakfast. I just seem to forget (except the coffee - that counts, right??).

I''ve started stashing instant oatmeal at the office to eat when I get in, and that seems okay.

What do YOU eat for breakfast?

Always Marmite on wholegrain toast. You either love it or hate it ( love it!)

but normally two clematines and a granola bar. And always at my desk as well.. i can''t deal with getting ready AND eating before I leave the house in the morning.

I always eat a bowl of Special K w/ fat free milk and coffee during the week. On weekends, if we''re eating at home it''s usually egg whites on whole wheat toast w/ 2% American cheese...and of coure coffee. I was really bad too about eating breakfast and then about a year ago, I started eating it again and have made it a habbit everyday.

I used to eat nothing and seemed to function just fine at work for hours. Once I became I mom, I figured out pretty quickly the first half of the day goes much better if I eat. Usually a bowl of steel cut oats or whole wheat toast with something on it, depending on the time. (an egg, some peanut butter, some sort of protein). And always coffee!

Isn''t it funny how mom''s can be so particular about what their kids eat (I am) but completely not care about themselves? (I''m not beyond the occasional cupcake breakfast, either!)

Most mornings I have fruit and wholegrain cereal with green/black tea. The milk in the cereal and the caffeine in tea makes me feel more relaxed and alert, at the same time.

Some times I have Eggos with jam too, or toast/crackers with scrambled eggs.

I usually eat a Fage yogurt (0%) with granola or some other type of cereal mixed in....or fruit. Its really yummy and the perfect size for breakfast! And, I always have my coffee.

Instand oatmeal and a cup of tea. I find my days don''t go as well when I don''t have breakfast.

hehe My hubby loves the stuff.

I eat 2 slices of Double Fiber Natures own bread w/a slice of turkey breast each morning; lots of fiber and a little bit of protein.

HI:

Oh, I need to eat breaky. I like Red River hot cereal. Or a hardboiled egg. Sometimes cottage cheese and a Dole fruit cup and sometimes Cherrios and/or Krispex. Cozyshak rice pudding is a good alternative

I''m not usually hungry in the morning, but I know I''m a much less enjoyable person to be around when I skip breakfast! I usually eat a pack of instant oatmeal or a small bowl of cereal and milk. Quick and easy. Sometimes I''ll just drink a glass of Kefir instead. Occasionally I''ll grab a breakfast sandwich from Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts, if I know I''m going to have a long day and really need the fuel.

I''ve never been a breakfast person and most of life, I''ve skipped breakfast.

However, about 3-months ago, I decided to turn over a new leaf health-wise and I started eating breakfast (though I''m never hungry in the morning).

I eat either instant oatmeal with skim milk or All Bran cereal with strawberries and skim milk.

One the weekends I either eat a grilled veggie pattie with oatmeal bread or Healthy Choice cup of chicken soup.

I don''t care for "normal" breakfast foods.

If I can face it at all, it has to be something savoury. I have no idea why, but I cannot eat anything even slightly sweet in the morning, it just makes me sick. Which is odd, because leftover pizza is just fine! As a slightly healthier compromise, I find toast with marmite works for me too, Lorelei.

I eat a container of yogurt (good made in Iowa stuff - I love it) with a bunch of granola spooned in. If I'm still hungry, a bowl of Crispix or some fruit. Typically I drink milk, but sometimes I'll be in the mood for OJ. I'm usually starving by lunchtime, so DH has been sending me out the door lately with a Kudos bar (I think I love them more than Twix) that I eat that around 11.

Interesting thread topic!

ETA: Saturday morning is always a full, hot breakfast - DH makes excellent waffles and pancakes, and I'm all about breakfast casseroles, hash browns, omlettes, breakfast sandwiches (making your own is sooo much better than mcD's), and I'll make a latte...I loooove Saturday morning! For special days, I love starting out the morning with an excellent breakfast and a mimosa.

During the week, we have Kashi Vive cereal with milk and a glass of grapefruit juice. On the weekends it''s usually stuff more like omelettes or waffles or steel cut oats.

Most days, I can''t face eating at all in the morning. Not good since I''m diabetic, and this should be my foundation meal. The dietician okayed my use of a nutrional drink if I added a small banana. Most days I can''t do the banana. But the nutrional drink is a valid choice. Sometimes I have to do the same for lunch. It depends. I think my meds make me lose my appetite for most of the day.

I have blood sugar problems and would get VERY sick if I didn''t eat breakfast everyday. On the weekdays I have either instant organic oatmeal or honey nut cherios with tea. About an hour after I get to work I eat penut butter on a graham cracker so I have some protein.

On the weekends I have chocolate cake!

Coffee and an Odwalla bar. My stomach doesn''t work so well in the morning, but I find that Odwallas are quick, not too heavy, and fairly well-balanced. I usually eat ones with fruit and extra vitamin C or omegas, not the chocolaty dessert-tasting ones. Unfortunately, I had a "real" breakfast this morning and my tummy isn''t too happy about it now.

This oatmeal is keeping me full all morning!!! Usually, I am getting ready for lunch by 10:30!!!

I usually have a NutriGrain Waffle with a tad of sugar free spread on it, or a packet of instant oatmeal.

I hear you Snow. There is only so much time in the morning, right?
when I get to work I usually will have some yogurt or cheese stick and instant oatmeal. I find I feel better when I have protein with carbs instead of just carbs. Otherwise I feel hungry again in a very short time.

I normally have one egg with half slice Mrs. Moo''s low cal, low fat swiss cheese (it''s in the triangles) just scrambled into an omelet. I have that with 1 cup silk vanilla soy milk. OR I have 1 biscuit shredded wheat, chopped up and mixed with 1 cup fat free vanilla yogurt, and I''ll drink water with that.

I have a bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes and a cup of tea. I can''t do anything until I''ve had this!

I can''t function without breakfast! I have some high fibre cereal (All Bran, Weetabix, Shredded Wheat, or just plain old Odlum''s porridge!) with a little fruit in to sweeten it. Oftentimes I can''t find the fruit in my morning muddle so I do without. And I have to have a cup of tea. My passport would be revoked if I didn''t have the morning cuppa!

I always eat a granola bar (Special K usually) when I get to work, then a latte to keep me until lunch. On weekends...whatever is in the fridge goes! Leftover thai, pizza, eggs, ramen noodles on desperate occasions.

2 pieces center cut bacon, 3 egg whites scrambled with pepper and salt, 1/2 TJ''s fat free english muffin with light butter and honey. coffee. every weekday!!

Weekdays: 1/2c. Kashi go-lean original and 1/2 c. Kashi go-lean crunch w/ skim milk. And a cafe au lait with skim.

Weekends: One day we usually get pastry/pain au chocolat (or make the ones from TJ's in the frozen section, SO GOOD!) from the french bakery a few blocks away or go out. Otherwise I often make oatmeal pancakes with REAL maple syrup.

I usually eat fruit for a midmorning snack at about 11.

Glad to konw i''m not alone!

I love breakfast. I swear I would eat it 3x a day. Yummmm. Most mornings I just have a bowl of cereal (wheaties, corn chex or frosted miniwheats). If I am extra hungry I will eat a soy sausage or 2. I cannot do anything until I have eaten and had my huge cup of coffee. On the weekends my BF and I like to go out to eat a late breakfast, or cook for each other. Eggs, biscuits, or pancakes. I like going out for breakfast because I load up on my fave foods and then don''t really eat much else that day.

I just had coffee this morning. Bad I know... I like egg whites or fruit. Sometimes yogurt. I''ve been trying to find quick things.
