I am trying to see what everyone drives, year, make and model since my LandRover is currently acting up and I have a feeling I''m gonna need a new one soon. Because I have a LandRover, it cost me about an arm and a leg to get it repaired, but heck, I didn''t think I''d be doing this only after 4 years of ownership. (I will admit though, that I have driven my car to the ends of the world because I was in sales and it''s all my fault

) I have a LandRover Freelander HSE 2004 with about 114,000 miles. I got it in 2005 with only 11,000 miles. Yup, I was bad

. Anyways, I wanted to know what you all drive and tell me how you like your vehicle, plus how are the repair cost when you''ve needed them to help give me ideas when I go car shopping. Thanks in advance for your opinions!

I drive an ''09 Toyota Camry-base model. It''s not glamorous, but it has all I need and coming off of a money pit Saab 9-5, I welcome the lack of expensive maintenance.

My husband and I own an '08 VW R32 (my daily driver) and he drives an '06 Subaru STI daily. We swap quite often, though. We love them both, and they've both been 100% problem free thus far.

I own a 2009 Scion Xb. I love it and it fits me perfectly.

I have an 09'' Landrover LR3 HSE. I love it...the size, the features...by far the best car I''ve ever owned. I have a healthy warranty and an extended warranty, so repairs don''t scare me.

09 honda oddessey ...love it...we can fit the whole fam in

I have an ''05 Mini Cooper S. The best car I''ve ever owned in my life! Great gas mileage!

My husband and I share a 2004 Mazda RX8. It's pretty much incredibly fun to drive. It handles like a car twice the price, it has a perfect 50/50 weight distribution (which, again, you really can't get without spending way more $$$) and it's fast. And, it has four doors and a full back seat- it has hidden suicide doors as the back passenger doors, so it looks like a sport coupe but it's practical enough to drive every day (and insurance is reasonable since it's technically a sedan); my 6'4" brother in law is comfy back there in fact. The rotary engine does use some oil- gotta check it frequently, and it takes a weird weight of oil you can only get at Schucks and the like- but we've had no problems at all with it at all. And you can get them used for not too much- the rotary engine thing scares people off I think. It's at 60K miles now, and the only thing we've had to have replaced was the clutch, and that's pretty typical at that mileage.

Still, if you get one with a good rotary engine, they actually get *faster* as they age, and they do very well with being driven hard- you actually *need* to rev the engine hard fairly frequently to keep it running well. The RPM guage goes up to 9, and the engine cuts out at 10, but they only put a limiter on it due to environmental regs- it could go up to 14 RPMs safely... which means you can hit 60 in first gear if you want, which my husband does love to do. So you can't hurt the engine driving it hard, that's for sure. The rotary engine sounds pretty different- it sounds very buzzy and high pitched like an airplane or something, which I guess makes sense- jet engines are rotaries too.

They also have a 100K mile powertrain warranty. Which is nice.

For the last 1 1/2 year, I have been driving a white convertible Smart car. You can't beat 45-48 MPG!
I love my baby!

I read a lot of bad things about your car.
I have an 08 LandRover LR2 and I have not had any problems despite putting 45,000 miles on it. Probably the best car I''ve ever had.

My car was a Mini before my smart, you are lucky!!! mine had 31K miles on it and my CVT went out, Mini quoted me $7,200 to replace my transmission, I passed on that - returned the car to the dealer! i loved how the Mini handled the road, it is such a fun car!!!

I drive an 08 Infiniti G35X, which replaced an 04 Infiniti G35X. I loved my 04 model and never had to have any repair work done, never had to have anything other than routine oil changes and tire rotations. It had about 70,000 miles on it when I traded it. I got a promotion about a year ago, and my hubby took the opportunity to trade my 04 model for a new one with lots of gadgets on it.

Before my 04 Infiniti, I drove a Toyota Avalon for about 6 years. It had well over 100,000 miles on it when I sold it, and it had never been in for anything other than the routine stuff. That was a great car.

OMG - we have the same car!!! YAY! And we have about the same mileage...I bought mine in July of 2007 and I have about 43,000 miles on it. I LOVE MY CAR!!! I would highly recommend it to anyone...it is basically the Freelander. I will be purchasing the extended warranty on it because I do expect it to have problems, like all cars do, but it costs a bit more. I used to own a 1999 Porsche and that sucker had some high maintanance costs, so I am not scared either! See, those LandRovers are fun to drive, you can''t help but put mileage on them. My dealership rep laughs at me because she doesn''t know anyone with more mileage on their car - I told her I should get paid for being a test case on what the car will go through... I love my car. I really do... I wouldn''t change a thing...

I usually need to get another car every two years because I hate it or am bored, but I will be keeping this one for a while. The gas mileage isn''t that bad either like one would think.

We both drive Honda Civic EX models. We wanted sedans that get great gas mileage, and we didn''t want to take on car payments so they had to be relatively inexpensive.

I LOVE our Civics. We''ll have them for three years this November, and we haven''t had any problems yet.

I average 32 mpg, DH averages 27. The difference accounts for our driving styles. We''re nerds, we keep track of how well we do on mileage.

My last car was a Chevy Equinox. I really liked it, but I couldn''t stomach the horrible gas mileage anymore. I felt awful about it. DH had a Chevy Blazer and sold it for the same reason.

Amethyste--Your car is super cute! I''ve been wanting to learn more about those, I''m off to find a website . . .

I was looking into one of these...I had the normal warranty and then got the extended warranty when I was close to finishing the original warranty...but my extended only lasted to 100k. Good thing I had saved some funds just for repairs! I love LandRovers and going over puddles like nothing. I guess I''m just not keen on the $90 hourly rate to fix my vehicle. If it wasn''t for that, the price of parts is nothing!

We have a 2009 Mercedes GL550 (mine) and a 2009 BMW 535i (his) and they both have extended an extended warranty. Nate wanted a BMW because they have a great standard warranty.

I drive a 2009 Toyota Rav4 sport. I just got in in April. I love that it has the space of an SUV but drives like a car. I have a V6 engine. I can accelerate easily, break quickly, and the car has a great turning radius. I got the sports model because I felt like it makes the car a little "younger" It has dark gray leather and chrome trim. I feel like it takes care of my practical side and my fun side.

My old car was a 2002 red honda civic LX coupe. I had that car all through medical school and residency. I love the great gas milage, and the body style fits my personality. The only thing I didn''t like was that it had a lot of trouble with ice and snow and the engine was so so. But it was a great car, never needed any work other than routine maintenance. I will always have found memories of my little red civic.

I have a 2003 Toyota Corolla. Has been a dream to own!

Just got that new model, the 2010 Honda Insight Hybrid. (Killer deal, $1500 below sticker)
This is my third hybrid car.
I test drove the Prius and it just didn't do it for me.

My two previous hybrids where:
2004 Honda Civic Hybrid which I bought for 19K and sold for 21K (exactly at Kelly Blue Book price) two years later when gas prices spiked, no joke.
2006 Honda Civic Hybrid which just got passed on to the SO. (Unlce Same gave me a $2100 tax credit for buying this car)

My lifetime average in all these hybrid cars is over 60 MPG (EPA rates them around 40) because I am a passionate hypermiler.
I'm so OCD! This mileage was calculated at the gas pump, and entered into a database. YMMV.

DH drives my old 2002 Toyota Highlander and it has over 100,000 miles on it now. I love that car...it is in perfect condition! We bought a 2007 Camry Hybrid right after they came out and I love it, too. Both cars are amazing and we love not having a car payment!

I drive a ''99 Jeep Cherokee

it''s really just fine, and has held up well, but it''s sort of PAINFUL to drive as I am something of an environmentalist. I drive as little as humanly possible.

My husband drives a 2006 Prius, and I couldn''t recommend it more highly. It''s just fantastic.

Yeah it''s a money pit alright. I have an ''05 Saab 9-3 which I got in April ''08 (28K miles) as a certified pre-owned. The "Time for Service" message just came up and I''m not looking forward to taking it in. Otherwise, great car and handles quite nicely.

I have a 2003 Hyundai Accent..

It may not be ultra flash but it is small, efficient and rather economical

I drive Toyota Rav4 2000. I can''t believe it`s 9 years old already! I never had any problems with it, it runs perfectly and I love it! My next car (in the next year or two) will definitely be the new Rav4 model.

''98 VW Passat, although James does the driving since I don''t have my UK license yet.

95 dodge intrepid

Drove exactly 1496 miles in the last year.
My insurance company makes me fill out a survey every year for the last 3 years because they don''t believe how little I drive.

We have a Toyota Prius - LOVE this car and we''ll definitely get another one when it''s time to renew (DH gets it via his job and they replace every 3 years).

We have a Nissan Murano 2006 and LOVE IT. This is our 2nd Murano (we lease) and I can't tell you how much I love this crossover. We have 3 car seats and they all fit perfectly together. Only downside is that there isn't a 3rd row...so we have no room to take anyone else with us. The width is just fabulous...I hate narrow seats. My sister had the Mercedes Benz M-class and couldn't fit 3 car seats...with her 2 car seats, the middle seat was cut down into more like a half a seat. She got rid of it and got the Acura MDX...I haven't been in that so I'm not sure how it is inside.

BTW in the last 9 yrs that we have had a Nissan...not once did we ever have to bring it in for any sort of issue. Unlike my sisters and best friends M-CLass Benz which seemed to make visits to the repair shop at least 4 times a year.

I have a 99 Saab 9-3, which I adore. 118,000 miles so far. I am eyeing the newer Honda CRVs, but I don''t think I''ll be ready to part with my little Saab for a while.
