Have just been to yet ANOTHER jeweler and found the following stone:

1.70 Round Brilliant 7.56 - 7.61 x 4.80 mm
I SI2
Polish Excellent
Symmetry Excellent
Fluor None
Comments: "additional clounds not shown", "surface graining not shown"
Table 57%
Depth 63.3
Crown 35 degrees, 15.5%
Pavillion 41.4 degrees, 44%
Girdle Medium to slightly thick
Culet None

Comments?

which lab certified this diamond?

I forgot to add...it is a GIA stone and they want $8660 for it.

Have you seen it? it's a little deep for me so it's facing up a little smaller for it's weight. also, extra weight lost in the med- slightly thick girdle. I'd pass if it were me buying.

We saw it in person and examined it thoroughly. It is very eye clean. A small slight mark on the side that can be hidden with the prong. I really didn''t see much difference in size to other 1.7''s we saw with this jeweler.

Maybe all of them were deep

You have all been very helpful.

The HCA gives it a very good, fair, fair, good, total 5-good, only if price is your main criterion. So I''d personally pass.

Don''t like the depth or the angles, those are too steep for my liking. Also the girdle could waste " size" as well as the depth. I would keep looking IMO unless you have fallen in love with it and it is what you wanted.

hi>>>

The stone is good but the price is a bit high>>> I have a 1.15ct H VVS2 Oval cut for $4200>> for sale if you are interested ( New) :)
Generally speaking, RBs are more expensive than ovals (all else being equal). I wouldn''t compare price between 2 different shapes.

Did you actually see this stone? If you did, did the appearance please you? If so, then no worries.

If you haven''t actually seen it and you''re asking strictly about the numbers......I''d likely pass if it were me. The diamond is deep, and that shows in the very deep pavilion angle. This is a steep/deep that likely will leak light under the table.

I totally agree but the gap of the prices wouldn''t be big>>> from my experience the prices will differ from $600 to $1300 on the RBs :)
