What do men look for in buying a wallet? Bi-fold or tri-fold? What material? Any recommended or non-recommended brands? Color? (Yes, I know - everyone is different but tell me what you like or don't anyway, if you would.)

Thanks so much.

$$$... :wink2:

My dh doesn't like to keep money in his wallet. He keeps it as thin as possible. He uses a Tumi bifold leather wallet. It really wears well and looks as good now as it did when he got it over a year ago.

DH loves fine leather tri-fold wallets especially in black  His current wallet is a TMI - fine soft leather. As one might expect, great leather shoes and a Rolex Cellini watch have his eye as well.

The husband goes for as thin as he can. He often complains that sitting on his wallet is incomfortable, and after a full day of sitting on it, lopsided, it bothers him. I pick them up for him when I notice it starts to look a little ragged. He prefers a bi-fold, and doesn't really care about color (though I typically buy black).

Thanks so much, all. I really appreciate it. I have to get someone one as a gift. I thought a tri-fold might not get as out of alignment / maintain it's shape better over time but it seems some prefer bi-folds as they are thinner.

Are you familiar with eel skin? I'm looking at those. What a cool material ! Interesting, interesting feel & look.

My husband likes to use a tri-fold black leather wallet.

I have a few eel skin bags, to be honest they don't wear that well. I'd stick to a fine soft leather for a wallet, it'll mould well to the, er, bottom.

I'd probably agree (but have no eel skin myself). It seems like it would be fairly delicate and well, errr, men's wallet's do take a pounding, um, sitting....

Thin, minimum compartments since the separators add thickness.
Leather.
Cheap.

Thanks again, all.

I expected at least one joke, so thanks, DF - "$$$... :wink2:"
