Mi first impression is that of a radiant, though most are a longer rectangle, IOW not so closet to being a square.
It also does not have the crushed ice look common in radiants.
The crown has and the simple layers and four cut corners of an asscher or emerald cut.
Then the pavilion has elements of radial facets of a round.
If I may invent a term, I'd call it a hybrid cut.
As with many cuts, the exact proportions & the ratio between all those facets will likely result in light performance that could vary from poor to excellent.
I'm very curious what properly-taken ASET and Idealscope images would look like.
GIA calls the stone below a Cut-Cornored Square Modified Brilliant, but in general, it gets classified as a radiant. So @kenny is not far
off with the hybrid term.
Interesting! Thank you. Yes @kenny I normally associate radiant with the ‘crushed ice’. I’m tempted to buy all the unusual diamonds just to check them out. Haha
