It is a Malaya garnet.

grey and brown with a hint of pink.

I see grayish brown with a few pink spots.

ETA: TL, you and I posted at the same time!

That's the colour my Malaya goes in natural daylight. In incandescent it's a wonderful vibrant rose pink!

I hate the daytime colour, which is why I've never set it!

Here is the description...but I surely don't see the pinkish orange. do you?

Well, I see pink, and desaturated orange is brown, so okay. Color descriptions usually never take into account modifiers unless you're trying to make a modifier sound awesome, like "steely blue" or "titanium green." Steely and titanium are metaphors for grey.

Ummm....certified by what lab? Seriously, I’ll be hard pressed to claim it is pinkish orange. It looks very brown & gray with hints of pink.

I also see gray and brown with some pink. Is this the only photo available?

I'm seeing the same colors as well. It's too bad the brown is there or that would make a really cool ice pink color. Is that a Tan stone? Does he have a video? It would be interesting to see if the brown is as prevalent in the video as it is in his photo.

My first thought was lavender, maybe a greyish lavender?

muddy grey and dirty pink?

Its mainly gray with a rather big window. Honestly its not a stone I will consider :)
