I am curious as to what the majority is

radiant, i would have picked brown, but i chose other because they are VERY DARK brown, if you look at me front on, it looks black. You can see a hint of brown only when you really scrutinise it.

I responded "blue" but mine are really a light aqua color most of the time. The can change with my mood from pale aqua to deeper blue/green to gray.

When I was born they were bright blue, then as I got older they became DARK dark brown (almost black) and the last few years they''ve turned into hazel - light brown with some gold, reddish specks, some green in the middle. So for now, they''re hazel.

Mine are boring brown, never change. But I am curious about those with hazel eyes or ones that are undefined b/c my daughter has an unsual color that I don''t know how to classify, so maybe some of you have the same?

From a distance/photos they look dark. so most assume brown. But when you look close and especially in the light, they are a very dark greenish/gray with some yellow in the middle. I have never seen anythign like it. Does that mean hazel..since that seems to be where undefined colors end up

Mine are moss green, with some golden brown around the middle. Most people would say they''re hazel, but I''m claiming green!

My sister has dark, almost navy blue eyes that sometimes go steel grey. People often think they''re brown at first because they''re so dark.

I would say that that entire statement applies to me, too. The only caveat I am entering is that two of my doctors (one dermatologist and one optometrist) warned me to watch myself in the sun because I was so fair with blonde hair and blue eyes. I think I just give a "blue eyed" impression because I am fair, freckled, and platinum blonde. I still can't get over the optometrist, though. (This was very recent.) She had just given me the most complete eye exam imaginable with every test known to man included in it!

Mine are blue. My family is of Swedish descent and all my siblings have the stereotypical blond hair but gray eyes. I ended up with dark brown hair but bright cornflower blue eyes. Most people ask me if I wear colored contacts. In a family of striking blondes, I sometimes feel like my eyes are my one saving grace physically.

some gorgeous eye colors here--which I could see pictures!

I''m going with green too...they are a darker green, with gold around the pupil as well and look brown in pics. And funny thing, green is supposed to be the recessive eye color, however both of my parents had green eyes and all 6 of their kids have green eyes! My high school biology teacher thought that was cool and used my family in one of his ''genetics'' lessons, LOL!

A very bright emerald green color.

I have always liked my eye color.

(Fun poll, BTW!)

Pale blue, with a very dark grey outer ring. The funny thing is, my eyes are very light-sensitive, so my pupils always look enormous. Between the pupil and the outer ring, I''m pretty sure a lot of people think I have dark eyes.

Brown eyes here.

Here''s mine

Very blue. I also have been accused of wearing colored contacts on many occasions.

Blue. Results are not surprising if you look at genetic statistics. Most people SHOULD be brown, followed by blue and so on.

Mine are green.

That''s a gorgeous combo. My FMIL has black hair and cornflower blue eyes - she looks like a "dark" Irish pixie! My FI came out dark-skinned, dark hair (curly) with chocolate brown eyes - just like his daddy! LOL Genetics are a funny thing...

My eyes are sort of greenish.

Add me to the list of green-eyed ladies with a rim of gold/golden brown around the pupil.

I like to call mine "doodie brown."

What? They are.

My eyes are light blue and white... they look like a cloudy spring sky. I never liked them - light eyes like this seem kinda blah to me or like zombie eyes. It suits the very light complexion and natural light blonde hair well though I guess... they''re very sensitive to the light though and I always have to have sunglasses on to protect them - I cannot squint enough it seems.

Twice in my life I have seen my eyes turn a turquoise color. The first time was in high school and I convinced myself it must have been the lighting or something, but the second time only ONE of my eyes did it and I spent a good 30 minutes in the mirror tripping out and going is that real? omg it''s real! lol They do naturally vary but only in the amount of white or how grey the blue gets. It''s not a bright blue (my mom had eyes the color of denim) but they normally have no yellow at all in them... I wish they did that turquoise trick more often!!!

My husband has hazel eyes - they are brown, gold, and green and they always look a little different.
My daughter had bright blue eyes until she was 4 and now they''re definitely green that get a little bluer once in a while.
My middle son has amazing hazel eyes with every color in the eye spectrum as little flecks and splotches - mostly olive green, slate blue, and taupe.
My youngest son has eyes that are so dark you couldn''t see color unless you looked way up close in the sun and even then it was very hard to make out the iris. now they''re a bit lighter but I would still classify them as black. They are such a contrast to my own! But when you get up close you can see your reflection in them and that''s kinda cool lol

Mine are dark-brown-not-quite-black - only in direct sunlight is any distinction from the pupil even visible. I''m Indian, for perspective, so I''ve got dark-brown-not-quite-black hair and brown skin.

My cousin lives in India and has perpetually tanned skin and these light brown eyes a bit like Haven''s, it''s so striking!

FI has the bluest eyes I''ve ever seen. There''s no hint of any other colour there - just bright, bright blue.

Our (fur)babies all have greeny yellowy glow in the dark eyes that I think are beautiful anyway

Brown eyes. Pretty close to Haven''s colour actually.

I wonder what the Other votes are for? Love blue eyes! Wish I had blue eyes!

I noticed no one had answered this, so I thought I''d chime in - that would be hazel exactly. You described exactly what my eyes look like. In photos they look brown. But when you look up close, they''re brown around the very outer rim, with mostly sea-green-ish/grey-ish/brown-ish/amber-ish in the middle that sometimes turns bluer, depending on my clothes... and gold specks around the inner rim. I think they''re fun.

And yes, they''ll constantly change. That''s the beauty of hazel.

Mine look green most of the time, but with brown, and sometimes teal, and sometimes grey. I said green, but hazel might have been more descriptive, LOL. I''ll try to find a pic.

Another pair of green eyes over here.
