Holy midwest!! Illinois is defnitely representing in this thread!

I went to American University in Washington, DC...though growing up in the midwest I did briefly consider Northwestern.

Undergrad at Sarah Lawrence. Also did part of an MBA at Cornell. Guess it was a total NY State education!

Wow! How funny! My best friend went there and after a semester at my college I decided to try to transfer there. They accepted me and I was about to make the switch...then just couldn't do it. We might have known each other in college! Sarah Lawrence was pretty small; I attended classes with my friend and I remember. They were the same size that our all-girl prep school classes had been!

Hey, Deb, too bad you didn't make the transfer! Yeah, it is small & was even smaller when I was there 250 years ago. Kind of a wacky place but about as superb an education as exists. It was the only college I wanted to go to & I've never regretted it. Think of the fun we could've had in NYC staring at gems!

But if you hadn't gone you would not have met meee!!!

DH has a BS from UDel. Forgot that one!

I also did one semester at GA Tech before realizing that I should have gone to UDel for grad school in the first place. I did like Atlanta, though!

Johns Hopkins. Baltimore seems to be a really love/hate place - DH hated it there, I loved it and don't understand his issues at all.

My undergrad degree is from Tulane and my M.Ed. is from the University of Pennsylvania. The hub went to Georgia, and got his MD from Tulane.

One of these days, I'm going to get a Ph.D. Maybe . . .

These kind of places scare me. They make me think, "engineer" and, "math". You are clearly too intelligent to be here, centralquare.

Another U of I (Chicago) alum here! :wavey:

Grad school was Dominican University (River Forest, IL)

I would love a Chicago GTG!

Crazy! I have my grad degree from Dominican University, as well. Except it was a cooperative program with the University of St. Catherine in Minnesota, so I took classes there and not in Illinois. Undergrad is from a school I'm betting nobody has heard of... St. Cloud State University (also Minnesota). DH went to University of Minnesota at Morris, middle of nowhere. I like him anyway. :cheeky:

That made me laugh out loud. If you knew me in person you wouldn't say that!! I didn't say I did well in those schools!! Haha! I didn't end up in engineering...more of a business focus. Turns out they scare me too, I guess

Souther CT State University because they gave me a full ride. I got a BS and a BA both with a 4.0 gpa. I got into several "good" schools but couldn't afford them.
