Any shiny objects in particular that you're hoping to find under your tree?

My DH always waits until the extremely very last minute to say that he didn’t get me anything and to ask if I would like something. I usually say no, but this year he said something about earrings and I jumped on the opportunity to have studs - I have a pair that were my great-grandmother’s but they are very small and not of good quality. Clearly it’s too late for Christmas, but I’m looking forward to the hunt for the biggest pair the budget allows. (There’s an RT post if anyone wants to jump in!)

A South Sea pearl rope necklace that I can wear long or double!

A 2.5ct RB but I ain't gonna get it...;(

I get to wear all the pieces that I bought myself this past month. Lol. Well, hubby pitched in but there will be no surprises as I find that shopping is half the fun!!!

Haha! I’m right there with you. The only bling I’m expecting is the tennis bracelet I got a couple of weeks ago. I had hoped my diamond pendant would also be ready by Christmas but they were too backed up to make it happen. Hopefully it’ll be New Year’s bling :mrgreen2:

My mother’s ring Frankensteined into a pendant... there are four separate rings and they’re a total pita when I wash my hands (hide water underneath). I just love the contemporary look, though, and I’m looking forward to wearing them as a soldered pendant soon! But DH didn’t get them to the jeweler in good time, so I’m sure this will be a New Year’s gift and not Christmas!

Well, I did get the VCA Onyx LE earrings which I absolutely adore and have been wearing everyday now, since I got them.

DH gave me some more $$$ for a Christmas present, to buy bling with. I'm sitting on the money bc I am not sure I want anything now. I missed a couple of really good RE opportunities recently, one bc I was sick and couldn't go view, and consequently could lose out on the potential to make a LOT of money - this one is going "en bloc" (a SG concept). So, now my brain is fixated on buying more RE.

RE?

The husband cannot be trusted to buy watermelon at the supermarket (or to be released out in a supermarket in general) so no hope of bling from him!

He did pay for two new coloured stone rings just before Christmas though! And he bought me a compost worm farm because I am a hippy

I got a strand of beautiful South Sea pearls and a new setting for my OEC!

I'd like some earrings to match my engagement ring, I've seen some antique jewellers on instagram with some that would be ideal. A little out of the price range at the moment, my fi took most of this year off work. Maybe there will still be some around in time for our wedding.

I wasn’t expecting any, but I got some new pearl studs and a Betsey Johnson statement necklace. Couple other handmade “costume” pieces from local artists. I was very happy to receive any bling at all!

Nothing for me this Christmas, but I'm dying to see what everyone got!

I wasn't hoping for anything , but Santa hit it out of the ballpark with a WSS 120 cm rope necklace.
Those are the rare gifts when you didn't even know you wanted something and the gift is just perfect.

I've got a (probably preloved) skinny tricolored rolling ring. Obv not for Xmas, but whenever I can.

And maybe reset a sapphire into a new ring. Maybe by next Xmas :roll

Fun thread! I wanted a new sapphire but didn't feel like affording it; so I got a new iPhone X. Maybe I'll score one for my birthday in 2018.

My DH's taste in jewelry is... shall I say..... not trying to be mean... gaudy. He just doesn't have a knack for it. So given that since July, I have had a Caysie reset, bought two diamond rings, a sapphire and a necklace (probably forgetting stuff), I told him he was cool. (And I meant it). I'd much rather be in charge of buying my jewelry and have no pretense that it is a present from him. Still, he gave me $350.00 in cash :lol::lol::love::love: because he felt bad not actually having something under the tree for me.

The sapphire came right before Christmas and the necklace is in transit from Austria.

I spent a lot of money this year on myself, so it seemed excessive to me to ask for presents. I mean, this year, if I wanted it-- I bought it. It was a fun year!

I really enjoy keeping up with what is going on with other people's wish lists. I'm in a pretty different place - but it's good! I had this whole thing with my ex, of expectations. Me wanting him to give me romantic gifts, but he just either wasn't good at it or he didn't want to. And me being disappointed. And since I was the breadwinner, having my own fund and getting things once in a while. We did get into a happy medium of just getting stocking stuffers or skipping gifts, but there was more that sabotaged the marriage. I neither have my original anniversary ring, nor the ring(s) that he encouraged me to get to replace them. But, since I love both ACAs and CBIs, I did buy a CBI loose stone, between my birthday and Christmas this year, because, yanno, a girl likes something pretty to look at! The guy I am seeing, he does stuff like, get me a back door for my house. Or spend Christmas afternoon, up on a too short ladder installing a new light in my study. I honestly can't complain. I may never have the kind of guy who does things like buy me a piece of jewelry just because, but I do have someone who treats me the way I wanted to be treated. I don't know when I'll get the stone set. But I enjoy the stuff I already have, I can pay the bills and that's enough for me! I had a good Christmas.

I had a wish list but it went in the trash when a chance to go to Ireland with my sons came up. Experiences before bling and it will likely be the last trip we take together for a very long time. Though they did pool their $ and bought a beautiful pair of pearl earrings for me!

I love reading about everyone else's bling!

Woo hoo, it was finished today! More pics tomorrow (with a new thread in SMTB)—but here she is! We had to orient both the aqua and the garnet south due to soldering concerns—just overly cautious. I am very happy with my not-Christmas but not-yet-new-year’s bling! It’s sub zero around here, I got the call that it was ready and I headed right over in between errands—wearing my cozy local bike shop hoodie! :) The jeweler and I joked about me being underdressed for this pendant!
