what causes this...us this the fire?

Once again I am a novice and I'm so nervous about proposing that I've taken the ri g everywhere with me to see how it performed in diff lighting. I was in target at deli case under those bright strip lights and the ring sparkled a lot but not colors that I'd typically associate with diamonds looked more pastel...is this normal

Yup, that's fire. The white light entering your diamond is being dispersed into a variety of colours. Pretty, innit? Enjoy.

If that's fire...I would call it baby fire. Fire is usually a very bright spark of light in one of many colors (blue, green, yellow, red...).
I think you are just seeing reflected light not actually fire.

Oh ok. It's all very confusing to me. Thanks for the link. There were so many colors inside the stone it wS pretty but it was also sparkling light coming off it of course my crap cell couldn't catch it
