The P color at GOG is jaw droppingly cut well.

The other posters are SO much more knowledgeable than me, so they have great suggestions. Go with them.

My .02 cents on the color: You would be shocked how lovely a ''lower'' color stone looks when cut well. I have an L with very good cut/ploish/symmertry and it is a fancy.

NO one ever thinks it is anything lower than an H. And I am of the understanding that fancys show much more color.

It is only when the stone is unmounted, face down, on white paper that you see the color. And in truth, I really have learned to like the warmer stones. And the bargins in the warmer colors are great.

Have fun shopping!
If I could, I would love to buy it and see if it would work out... I''m just worried about return policies. I keep looking at the polish and symmetry and the table, depth, etc and can''t make out what it means. The P color doesn''t sit in well with me, but I would love to take a look at still... I would love more suggestions please...

mlee... I know GOG has a great return policy.

We''ve recommended quite a bit. Without more input from you... without you doing some shopping and thinking, all we are doing is throwing suggestions out there. You have a great start in this thread. Now you need to make some decisions. Do you have a diamond sent to you for evaluation? Or you decide to get a smaller diamond and upgrade?

A P will be yellowish. If you want to foil back it or cup it to bring out the yellow in it and set it in a setting with sidestones of D-E-F to showcase the color, that would be lovely. Or you can set it in unplated white gold to match the creamyness of it. But no matter what you do... with out some action from you, WE have hit a wall on recommendations.
