I was just eating Costco dried mangoes -- love them! The chicken salad with grapes and walnuts is sooo good. Other favs include dried apricots, nuts, cereal, razor blades, wine.Date: 6/11/2008 6:32:45 PM

I think there was a thread on this before?
For me personally, it''s because they are so cheap and it saves me time when a recipe calls for cooked chicken.Date: 6/12/2008 2:12:34 PM

Rotisserie chicken keeps on showing up! Is there really a difference in quality of rotisserie chicken across different grocery stores? Are they not roasted the same way?

I have proof postive of the rotisserie chicken value. I used to like the lemon chicken at Vons and one day my daughter wanted to play the old game of making a wish on the wishbone and breaking it, so I saved the wishbone on the counter. I sort of forgot about it and then bought a Costco chicken because I love them and I know almost all there is to know about Costco and their food safety standards so I trust them. I decided to check the size of the wishbone against the dried one I had from Vons.....OMG...seriously!! The chickens were the same price, but the Costco chicken was like Hulk compared to the Vons chicken. I could never buy a Vons chicken again after that.Date: 6/12/2008 3:05:44 PM

They are, but to me, don''t even remotely taste the same. They''re bigger too, the ones at Albertson''s that I''ve bought in the past are smaller.Date: 6/12/2008 2:12:34 PM

You are not kidding! We''ll have "milk" and "toilet paper" on our list and $200+ later, we''re waltzing out with a cart full of stuff! We''ve learned the hard way that if you don''t buy something when you see it, it may not be there the next time you go!Date: 6/13/2008 4:22:22 PM

I know, they are sooooooooooooooooo good.
We love everything about Costco. We buy all of our chicken there, beef, TP, paper towels, sheets, dish soap, laundry soap, etc. Just about everything.
We go in with a list and end up buying things that aren''t even on our list.![]()
ME EITHER!!!!! It is crazy, the costco people talked us into the Executive memebership a few years back ago because it pays for itself and some.Date: 6/14/2008 10:43:40 PM

At some point, my kids started saying 'oh no - mom's got the costco fever' whenever we would go there. I can't believe how much I can spend there!
I always say that they have all of the things that I didn't even know that I needed. We belong to BJ's too, but somehow it is not the same!
