...besides being a wife, loving your new hubby forever, and all of that other sappy stuff.

I''m looking forward to getting a HAIRCUT!!!! My hair is usually shoulder length but I haven''t touched it since we got engaged (last August) because I wanted my hair long enough to cover a tattoo on my back.

I am SOOO not the girl who gets up early every morning so she can blow-dry, straighten, curl, tease, whatever her hair. Plus the humidity where I live pretty much guarantees that I look like a chia pet whenever I step outside.

I took off an extra day after the wedding SPECIFICALLY so I can get a haircut. I''m thinking the style like LC''s on the hills. Some mornings I think I''m more excited about the haircut than the wedding!

So, anything you''re looking forward to?

After our wedding, I couldn''t WAIT to get my acrylic nails taken off. It was the first time I''d ever had them on as I can grow my nails really long as they''re pretty tough, but didn''t want to risk having broken ones on my wedding day. So thick and clunky. They drove me NUTS!

And getting my photos!

Nothing really to be honest. My hairs always been long and I''m not wearing nails on the day. I guess just getting back to normal and living in our house with Amber. And obviously the honeymoon!!

after the honeymoon? Definitely house-hunting

Sleeping. Parties wear me out.

Weirdly enough, cleaning our apartment! Wedding planning and wedding related paraphanalia are all over, and my OCD can''t wait until that stuff is all out of here and I can do a proper cleaning instead of just moving everything around.

I hear you on the hair issue Lucky! My hair is super long right now, and I wear it in a bun every single day. I''m chopping it super short the day after the wedding so I won''t have to deal with it on our honeymoon, and I really can''t wait!

Waking in the morning without that pang of panic knowing that I have SOOOO much to do before the big day....

The best parts? The haircut, definitely. And beer! I gave up beer 3 months before my wedding to help fit better into my dress. Man I missed beer! It was really hard not drinking it at the rehearsal dinner catfish fry, but I didn''t want to be all bloaty.

and no longer having to think about the wedding didn''t truly kick in until 6 months later. Some brides feel depressed with no longer having anything to plan, but for me it was sheer relief to not have something impending anymore.

I couldn''t wait to get home and change all of my IDs and credit cards to my married name because I hated being in identity limbo during the honeymoon.

As Sumbride mentioned though, I was one of those women who had a pretty bad case of post-wedding blues. I couldn''t believe how depressed I was - but it had less to do with missing the "something to plan" aspect. Rather, I was obsessive and freaked out about my "new identity." Right before we got married, I finished grad school (where I also did my undergrad - I''d been there awhile), so all of a sudden, I went from being a student in a town I loved and a place I knew well to moving to the town where DH lived (that I hated), being terrified of my new identity as a professional (without a job) and a wife. What was scariest was that those two identities meant I was a real adult for the first time in my life (even though I was supporting myself in grad school, it was still a false reality compared to being a graduate). So, most of the things I looked forward to had to do with shedding the old identity and grabbing on to the new one head on. Small things, like seeing my names on our bills and merging my cellular account with DH gave me a ridiculous amount of satisfaction.

Oh, and I did the post-bridal CHOP, too! I thought having short hair would make me look older and more professional - it didn''t, but I felt really cleansed for some reason afterward. I think every bride I know has cut her hair almost immediately after the wedding.

During the honeymoon, I was also really antsy about putting all our gifts away in our house and writing thank yous. I can''t describe how I just wanted everything to "go back to normal" (even though we hadn''t really established what "normal" is yet).

It''s also sooo true that the feeling that it''s over doesn''t kick in for awhile. I was so keyed up, and I couldn''t figure out WHY - but it was like in the back of my mind, I kept on thinking "isn''t there something to be anxious about??" I was SO happy when our photo album came and when we could put up wedding photos around the house. I love our photos, but at the beginning, the relief of "oh, hey! that was a beautiful day and it''s in the past" when I saw them was worth its weight in emotional gold. :)

Can''t wait to get pregnant.

Can''t wait for my then-husband to move in with me! Of course, that''s 9 months after the wedding, so I think I am going to distract myself by training for a half-marathon in between then.

I also can''t wait to be able to refer to him as my husband. I did that at the car repair shop the other day cause I thought it might give me a little bit of authenticity to say "my husband thinks that the power steering fluid is low" and it was so cool!

buying a house and having kids most likely.

I want to get my hair cut so badly and I''m not sure I want to wait until after the wedding. If I do though, that will definitely be one of the first things I''ll do. I''ve been growing my hair out because that''s what I felt like I should do. Usually I have a bob, just above my shoulders (kind of like iwanna''s but with bangs). If I cut it I''m not sure how I''ll wear it with my veil. Sorry for the long winded answer.

I hate to admit this, but opening presents. Rationally, I know that (a) we probably won''t get many, since we''re having an away wedding, and (b) those that we get will probably arrive before the wedding, but it''s still something I''m looking forward to.

Maybe FI and I will buy each other some registry things that we''d love to have. We could even put it in the wedding budget...

I''m looking forward to living with my FI under normal circumstances after the wedding. We''ve never lived together, and we''re closing on our house on May 30th, I''m going to Greece from June 5 - 17, we''re getting married July 4 and then honeymooning until the 17th. So it''s going to be CRAZY until after the honeymoon and then we''ll FINALLY be able to settle in together. After four years, I''m more than ready to live with him.

Holy smokes, Haven. I''ll pray for you!

Am I the only bride here that doesn''t plan to run out and chop my hair off immdiately following the wedding??? LOL...I like my hair long...it''s naturally curly, so the length/weight of it helps me have better control!

I think I am most excited by the fact that I can finally get a new kitty...I miss Maverick so much and I don''t know how I''ve held out this long without an animal to love...it''s nearly killed me these past several months. (I get to dog-sit my friend''s little Maltese this coming weekend, and I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am to have a little furball to love for a few days! That poor dog doesn''t know what''s in store for him...hee hee hee!)

On a marriage note, I am looking forward to finally living together...after 15, almost 16 years of back and forth in our relationship, it will be amazing to finally live under the same roof.

I am also so excited to change my name to his and truly be a part of his family that loves me so much...that means the world to me!

No I''m the exact same. My hairs always long, down to my ass pretty much and I have no plans on getting it cut. I love it long.

NO MORE PLANNING!!! And hopefully not so much drama.

My mom getting better.

Cutting my hair.

And of course, finally living with DH like a real married couple.

I''m looking forward to FI wearing his ring, it was my father''s; changing my name and moving waaaaaaay up in the alphabet; no longer living in sin; making our own family traditions.
