I wish it was that way here.
My SO likes those holiday thingies. :knockout:

Too bad people vary.

I'll probably wander antique stores to find something unusual for him.

Me, too! That expression really drives me nuts. I know it's "a thing" now, but I hate it.

EARLY on we gave gifts but pretty much since our 2nd year of marriage we haven't done much in the way of gifts. This year was unusual in that I "got" a birthday and an anniversary gift. But by "got" I mean, bought them myself with his involvement. The necklace was a work in progress though and he'd brought up setting the rubies no less than 10 times in the last couple years because of the anniversary, and had done so also around our 5th. Except this time I actually acted on it finally. I am about done for a while. In fact, if he gets a gift, that gift is that I will stop buying shit for a while.

Yeah, I think everyone should do what they want ... as long as they are not doing it only because they feel they are 'supposed to'.

Yeah, I don't care what the dictionaries say today.
To me gift will always be a noun and never a verb.

If you disagree with me, you're wrong.

Marvel (Spiderman) night light

If pressed, some Star Wars stuff. maybe a Darth Vader mask?

Don't have a SO, however, I have already bought myself a present or two.

DK

I a giving my husband the usual - cashmere sweater, golf clothing. And he has asked for a bird feeder so I purchased one at a local birdwatcher shop. I am receiving from him a diamond bracelet (which I chose myself) - simple and easy!

Well I allowed his purchase of two pistols for Christmas as I cannot buy them for him - that would be illegal. He is one happy camper. There was a big sale with extra $$ off therefore we have to take advantage right?

DH got an early Christmas gift of a bunch of no iron collared shirts from Lands End. I anticipate donating a handful of shirts soon that are too grungy around the collar. These are his work shirts so they get the most wear. The timing was just right with the need and the sales and the holidays lololol.

People give deadly weapons for Christmas?

He won't be getting me anything per my request and I'm getting him a coffee maker and a bread box

Absolutely. A question was asked and I answered.

Edit: Is there a problem with giving a gift that is appreciated and enjoyed? Maybe not by you, but others have different ideas Kenny.

... as it should be ... since there are 7,291,565,923, and counting, interpretations of what Dec 25 means.

I got my husband the bipod for is 50cal. He bought the gun a year ago but never got around to get the bipod, which is the only way it can be used.

I also got him a bunch of Oregon Ducks stuff and the complete James Bond collection on blu-ray.

Why are you commenting on my post? Because you don't agree? I am able to post here just like all the others. Too bad that my gifts aren't what you would give. Not supposed to talk about religion so why are you judging?

Cool. Yes 50cal needs a bipod! Go Ducks!

Hunting clothes probably. Like he doesn't already have enough..last year it was a Ghost Blind. It's kinda easy w/him b/c I can sneak around and send links to my dad and have him research stuff, he buys it and has it sent to their house and then brings it here already wrapped.

A couple years ago I got him a shotgun. I had one of our friends pretend he was looking for a new one and wanted his input and it was this whole big thing. A year later he got me a shotgun for Valentines Day.

No jewelry for me..my parents give us a little cash so mine will get socked away, and I'll have JD give me cash as well, and then work toward the cost of resetting my chrysoberyl.

Blowing you a kiss. I am not offended but your post begged for a comment back right? Isn't that why you posted it?

Of course.
And your post begged for a comment back, too. (Well, as much as mine begged. )
Isn't that why you posted it?
That's why I'm blowing you a big wet germy kiss.

I'm not saying it out loud yet. It's still a surprise, and I really want to keep it that way, and since both of our computers are used by the other.... Mum's the word!

Since we just bought a house, we are keeping gifting kind of light this year, I hope. I will be supplying him a list of fun things that I would like but have been too lazy to buy for myself, and I had an idea for presents for both his birthday and Christmas, which are very close!! (I am impressed with myself because we are both hard to buy for, and generally take care of most of our needs and wants without much input from the other)

Nothing very exciting...he bought himself some golf shoes. I got him a couple pair of shorts because some of his are starting to look ragged. New shirts to go with the shorts. Cologne that he needs. A clock for the garage because his old one gave up the ghost. So yeh, basically just replenishing everyday stuff he needs.

The q is, what is Mrs. DF getting!!

My BF is getting a watch :) I'm so excited.
