What are the best knockoffs you've bought?

I just posted this in the house hunters thread, but I thought I'd start a new thread. Have you found any great knockoffs of things that you've wanted to buy? There's something specific that I've wanted for a couple years now, but I don't want to pay full price (because I'd like to get 2 and that would be pricey). Even if it goes on sale, I'd still rather pay a lower price.

So, this is what I'd like, but I'm on the hunt for a great knockoff. This is from Crate and Barrel, by the way.

What knockoffs have you bought and have had success with?

Great find Tacori! It's great that you saved so much money and got something just like the PB bench.

I recently came across a great blog that may be some help to you, not sure if I can post the link or not, but the name of the blog is Copy Cat Chic (this is not my blog!). The blogger posts a picture of something fabulous from Pottery Barn, West Elm, etc., and a less expensive (often cheap) version that often looks very similar. Hope this helps!

I actually bought those leaves from Crate and Barrel a few years ago and ended up giving them to my daughter-in-law. They're very heavy and difficult to hang. Cool looking though. Now I enjoy them at her house.

Thanks Amandine! I'll check out that blog. It sounds cool.

Difficult to hang, huh? That's too bad. Where does your daughter have them hanging? I know they can be used indoors or outdoors, so maybe it would be easier to hang them outside. If I do get them, I'd hang them in my dining room and get very stury hooks.

Does anyone else have things that they've been able to find elsewhere for a bargain?

Zoe, is that a metal cutout? Maybe you can get it custom made on Etsy.

I LOVE the CCC blog!

I don't buy any knockoff clothes or handbags, etc but I refuse to pay full price for furniture and homegoods if I don't have to. There's a furniture store in the Northeast called Boston Interiors. They have a lot of stuff that could be considered C&B, PB, RH knockoffs and they're pretty reasonably priced. JC Penny also has a lot of similarly styled things and as Tacori mentioned Target is another great source.

MP -- That's a great idea! I'll check Etsy later today. I haven't bought anything from there, and I'm not too familiar wth the site, but I'll browse through it in a while.

HH -- Thanks for suggesting Boston Interiors. I was just thinking of checking there maybe this weekend, but I hadn't checked the site yet. Well well, look at what we have here:

HH -- thanks for reminding me of Boston Interiors! I think the hangings are the same (or close enough anyway). The best part is that they're much cheaper there than at C&B. I'm not sure which store is closest to us (we live in the mill city), but we'll check it out soon.

Thanks again! You've just made my day.

ETA: They come in a set of two for $129, as opposed to spending $229 for only 1 at C&B. Yay! :appl:
