Like places to see, bike to?( assuming one can rent a bike) restaurants to go to? , and whatever you can think of.Thanks

The most surprising thing is a place that I think is called Agua Caliente.
It is on Indian property just south of PS.
It is close enough to easily bike to.

There is a stream in lush shady narrow valley with a wonderful hiking trail.

You''d never expect such a thing in the desert.

I''ve been to Indio, CA; where they hold Cochella Music Fest. I know you can rent bikes there. We went to a music festival, but spent the day by the pool. There are some golf courses there. Beautiful area!

Have fun!

You MUST do this!!! It's by far, one of the coolest things I did when we lived out there!

When you get to the top, you can go on a little hike and bring a picnic lunch. There's also a restaurant that's pretty good. It really is 30-40 degrees colder up there so bring a sweater! Very cool!!!

Thanks Kenny, BR and Luvmyhao:
I m making an itinerary ,as you are posting.

international film festival that happens in january of each year.

For biking probably Josua Tree Park might be best

Mt San Jacinto for hiking. Taking the aerial tramway and visiting windmill farm can be e-fun. If you like to shop, Desert Hill premium outlets are popular

not sure what kind of food you like but Fisherman's market & grille is a must if you like charbroiled jumbo shrimp or halibut, Pollock 'n chips is amazing for those who like fried food [DH]
If you like mexican El Mirasol offers non greasy traditional food, my faves are mole, crab enchiladas... 'carnitas for DH'

Kaiser Grill has the best Chicken Schnitzel & Braised lamb, dinner reservations required but you can enjoy their happy hour & better prices around 4pm [wood oven fired steak pizza for $7] Have fun!

They''ve got a fun farmer''s market...think it''s on Thursday nights?

HI:

El Paseo Drive.

Waterpark.

cheers--Sharon

If you like golf, you''re in the right place!

Shopping: Cabazon outlets just outside of PS, probably the best outlet mall in the entire state. El Paseo has super ritzy stores up and down the street. Downtown Palm Springs has a lot of cheesy souvenir shops and midcentury housewares too.

The tram is a really nice place to visit and you can even hike up to the top, but it''s an all-day event that you have to be prepared for. I like to just take the tram up to see the view.

If you like dates, the fruit, there are lots of places that sell the dried fruit and date products. The best is Shields out in Indio. They have the best date shake! So good when the weather turns hot.

TG: not sure if we will be there on Thursday , but if we do sounds like a great idea
Thanks Sharon: will have to take extra shorts for the Waterpark sounds really good..
Kitcha: date shake hm I could use one right now.
Thanks for all your recommendations.
I know Palm Springs has lots of golf, maybe one day I will learn...
