I read from storm that asschers should have aa depth less then 70 and a table of less than 65. Do cushions have a similar guide? I found a stone online has the following dimensions:

Cushion
1.71
F
VS2
Polish: VG
Sym: VG
Flour: None
Cutlet: None
W: 6.68
L: 6.78
D: 4.73
Table: 61.1%
Depth: 70.8%
Crown: 38.60 deg
Crown depth: 15.6%
Pavilion: 40.50 deg
Pavilion depth: 52.70%
$14,400

I''m torn between an Asscher and cushion so any help is appreciated.

No ideal rules for cushions...they each need to be seen and judged individually. That being said, I do think this one is a tad deeper than I prefer (I like mid 60''s as a sweet spot), but this doesn''t mean it can''t be a beautiful stone, just means that it might face up a bit smaller than other similar stones.

Ditto Neat, also can you ask the vendor for an ASET image and detailed photographs for this diamond? That would be very useful and give a better idea of how this diamond looks and performs. Is it with an online vendor or have you seen this diamond?

Ditto also. They all need to be seen but cushions in the 70s, while may look pretty, also ma face up smaller. Its good to look for stones between 60-68% depth.

BUt they all need to be judged individually.
