Hi all,

Carat Color Clarity Lab Price Depth Table Polish Sym Flr Measurements
1.90 H SI2 GIA $8,649 61.2 58 VG VG None 7.95x8.02x4.89

is this a good diamond for the price, its a round cut?
also is EGL as good as GIA?

My guess is that the vendor does not have the stone in-store but has access to it through a broker? That means that the vendor only knows what is on the cert (and no, EGL is not as good as GIA -- so it's good this is a GIA certed stone). You'll have to get the vendor or an appraiser to look at it to know if it is a good performer with ok inclusions or not.

It's hard to say if this is a good price because a diamond's make---how well it is cut---has a big impact on the price-per-carat. The information given here isn't quite enough to determine the make of the stone.

See if the vendor can provide you with a Sarin report - the numbers you need are the crown angle and the pavilion angle. It would also be good to get some information on the girdle.

The price above could be exceptional, fair, or average based on the make of the diamond.
