Good evening,

At someone's recommendation I've been snooping on the Pearlman's site. I found this Daniel K Asscher e-ring which looks beautiful. I'd have to email for specific stats, but don't know if it's worth it since it's a K in color. I've never seen a K-colored stone, and wondered how white it would face up. What do you think?

I know there's not much information listed, sorry!

I don't think you can go too wrong with a Daniel K Asscher!!!! And Bill at Pearlman's is a DOLL. He will make sure you are well informed about how white it looks before the purchase if you decide you want it. Make sure to confirm with Bill that it's eyeclean since it's an SI1.

If I was looking for an asscher I''d definitely consider a Daniel K. The one''s at Pearlmans are a very good value. Of course, confirm the details about the stone but I think they are winners.

I can''t comment on this actual stone but it is a great deal. I have been wanting to buy something from this clearance forever.

There goes the bank account!

Specs wise, the SI1 and the K may both be concerns, as step cuts show inclusions and warmth much more than other cuts. However, I have an SI1 asscher, and it is completely eye-clean, so there is hope!

I would ask Pearlman''s for some detailed photos of the stone so you can evaluate the clarity and cut yourself. Plus, no two asschers look the same, and I have found many more uglies than beauties. However, it is a *steal* at this price and Pearlman''s is a real trusted vendor. I hope you can get pics, I am looking forward to seeing them.

I''ve emailed Pearlman''s for more information/pictures. I''ll post as soon as I get a response. Hopefully tomorrow!

I love Daniel K rings---not sure about that diamond though, but is there anyway for you to see it in-person? I am a firm believe that ALL asschers in-person.

Perfect. I would doubt that Daniel K would put his name on anything crappy, but you just never know.

There have been a few that did not meet my standards.
pictures are mandatory.

No more pictures. Got a response today. Bummer. However, they did send me pictures of another stone as a ''reference.'' Pfft, like that helps.

That''s annoying! Did they say why?

Nope! This is what I got:

Katrina,
We do not have additional photos of the 235CO1 Daniel K ring, sorry.
It is a beautiful ring and Daniel only uses fine ideal diamonds. The SI1 is absolutely eye clean but it is a K color (looks more like J).

Below is pictured the 236CO1 ring for your reference.

Along with some pictures of a similar ring. I looked at the pictures, and the ring is twice as much and better overall stats.

Weird! Who was the email from? If it isn''t from Bill you might consider calling and ask to speak to him. He''s usually very helpful.

Sorry to hear that, Katrina. I would call, too and hope Bill has better news for you.

Can Bill look at the stone and give you his opinion on it? Can you return the ring if the K color bothers you? If so, I think it''s definitely worth taking a chance since Daniel K rings are stunning and this one is a great deal!
