WF petite open cathedral

I lost my original wedding set years ago and found this site in hopes of finding a replacement. I''ve been searching, drooling, deciding and changing my mind for a good two years now. I''ve fallen in love with a dozen settings and different fancy shapes of diamonds. And no, we are still not quite ready to purchase yet, so I feel silly asking yet another question

I really love the WF petite open cathedral setting. The thin shank (1.5mm), diamonds only along the top, available in white gold... and I notice on the description it says it''s available with any head. I''m wondering if a bezel would be possible, and if so would it be restricted to a round? And would that be considered custom? Your input is greatly appreciated.

If you hesitate to ask them because you''re not quite ready to buy yet, don''t be!

I e-mailed them questions for quite a few months before placing an order. They are wonderful to deal with and answer questions readily.

I was seriously interested in this setting for quite a while and emailed back and forth with Lesley from WF for about a month before I decided on a Ritani solitaire setting. While the description does say "any head" the only heads that I think will actually fit would be the basket head that comes standard (shown in the pictures) or a 4 prong head because this is a stock setting rather than one they make in house. I was interested in getting the Legato head put on this setting and was told that it would have to be a custom job which would increase the price by about $300-400. So, while it would probably be possible to get it with a bezel, it would most likely be a custom job. I would email them to get more information though.

Traci from WF called me. She said it would be a custom job, and that she thought it would look great. Now, I just have to convince my hubby that buying a diamond online is a good thing and save up the money... during which time I''ll no doubt change my mind again, LOL.
