WF HCA VS2 or SI1

Hey,

Im hoping to get some opinions on these two diamonds. Either a VS2 or SI1. The SI1 they say it's real eye clean.

Is the VS2 really worth more or it's all in my head?

Is the stone for you or someone else?

I think that the SI1 is the way to go since it's been confirmed to be eye clean by WF, unless the recipient is bound to have "mind clean" issues.

It's for someone else

So it's more for my mind that I get her a VS2 but not sure the price is justifiable.

Do you think I can believe it'll be eye clean? I know WF has a great reputation.

i think SI1 is the way to go as she really will only see the sparkle from this diamond

I vote for the SI1. Bigger and less expensive. I'd trust WF's eyes to make the "eye clean" call. Both stones are beautiful but a nice SI1 is a good bang for your buck and not that easy to find. For me G SI1 is the sweet spot.

These are both superb diamonds so no worries there, as to VS2 being a ' better' choice, that depends on you. If it's a ' mind clean' issue for you, then certainly! If you would like to pursue the SI stone, contact WF and ask them to pull out the stone and discuss it with you. Say something along the lines of this. '' I am very interested in this stone but what I absolutely don't want is for my GF to spot an inclusion from any angle or distance or in any lighting, will this SI diamond meet those standards or would I be better off going for the VS2 stone, assuming that one is also eye clean?'' Some VS will be completely eye clean but there are exceptions. Whiteflash will be happy to discuss the merits of each diamond with you so you will be in very safe hands.

Also concerning the HCA scores, they aren't really relevant with stones of this cut quality, the HCA is used for rejection, not selection and once you have images, the HCA's predictions are redundant.

If she knows little about diamonds, I am fairly sure she won't care as long as the inclusions are not visible from the top or sides. Ask about from the sides, too. I don't buy diamonds under VS2 because I just prefer VS quality and would rather pay the $600 more. But she may not care at all!
