Hello all,

If I were to purchase the 0.50ctw RSG stud earrings from WF..

Would there be a big difference between the 3-prong martini and the 4-prong basket settings?> There is a $150 difference so I wanted to make sure it would be worth it on smaller stones..

thanks!

I used to have 4 prong basket settings but when I traded up I went for the 3 prong setting because I like the way it sits closer to the ear, I think it makes the stones look rounder too, to me the 4 prongs can make the rounds look squarish. It''s more of a personal aesthetic choice. No real wrong choice. But I like th 3 prong better.

I just bought martini settings for my earrings. I''ve always had a problem with basket setting droop. Martini sit right up against the ear, and the diamonds shine! I love them.

I have three pairs of diamond studs. I bought one pair with three prong martini settings and then promptly upgraded the other two pairs to martini settings. I much prefer the look and feel on my ears.

I have both and I prefer the look of the martini.

I''ve had both and greatly prefer the martini.

what does everyone think of these settings on princess-cut studs?

I just wanted to say that I have the 4 prong baskets, and the prongs are very tiny and do not make my stones look square at all. They also do not droop. I think the price difference is really too much, although it is worth it if you really want the martini''s.
