We''re postponing the wedding

Just too much going on financially this year, and now my 3-year-old needs oral surgery to remove one of her front teeth. She banged her mouth on the hardwood floor back in September, the tooth died, and now it''s begun to abcess. Gotta have it removed. That''s going to be at least a $2,500 bill (and that''s just the deductible portion). Her father has not exactly been helping out with medical bills, so I know this is going to have to come out of my pocket. There goes any money for a deposit on a rental so we can move in together, and forget about a $$$$$ wedding!

So sorry to hear about that. I stress about where I am going to come up with the money for a wedding because I will be the one footing the bill. It will happen though. I hope your little one recovers soon!

Yes, my daughters are Ruby (3) and Kimberly (almost 9...means diamond). My daughters are my gems!

I also have two sons.

What a bummer!

We actually have a lot in common though.
1. My son fell at Legoland and lost a tooth when he was 18 months. It turned black and they had to pull the root

2. Ruby is the name I was going to use for my last baby (if I ever have it) b/c it was my Grandfather''s name. His name was Rubin and my Grandma called him Ruby.
3. One of our first dates was at Cafe Reggio

Wink since you are not married yet and you have 4 kids, look into seeing if the hospital offers financial assistance, they might do things on a sliding scale and can offer you a discount. Also you could apply for Medical Assistance for them since they are minors.
