I really like these as opposed to a traditional guest book. Does anyone else like this idea? Can anyone help me find something kind of garden themed, but not too informal to put them in? I guess one of the vases would work.

Here''s some I like:

Idea 1

Idea 2

So any other ideas of a container to use for the well wishes that would be kind of formal, but also gardeny? I was thinking maybe an antique teapot might be pretty.

Oooh, if you could find the right one I think your idea of a teapot sounds fab! When you said garden my first thoughts went to an antique-looking wooden bucket somehow decorated with moss and small flowers (maybe like it''s sitting in a bed of moss w/ the flowers growing around it?), but I''m not sure if you could get it to fit your requirement of not being too casual.

Aha! What if you got the set of these three buckets from ebay, use the biggest as the well and put flowers in the smaller two. Match it to the rest of your flowers and I don't think it'd be terribly informal, just a touch of whimsy.

Ooh no I think that''s a great idea!

Thank you so much!

What do you think of this? It's FI's Grandma's antique pot from China. She bought it (I think in the 1970's) when she was in China. It's not gardeny, but it does have flowers on it and the color wouldn't clash with the room.

ETA: I will post more pics after I eat lunch!

The inside! Sorry about all the stuff in it. It''s what she had in it already.

So what do you think? Do you think this would work to hold the well-wishes?

Hmm, I am starting to wonder if this is deep enough. It may not be.

I think it depends on how many guests you have and what you''ll have them write on.

Okay, hmm. We are probably going to have about 90 guests. And they''ll be writing on small tags kind of like a gift tag for a Christmas present or something. Or a small luggage tag. No bigger than a place card.
