Snow in metro Atlanta, that is. We usually get at least a dusting each year or maybe 1/2", but we got about 3" of wet, heavy snow yesterday. I haven''t seen snow like this at all since I''ve lived here (3.5 years). I almost didn''t get home- I was in NY and all flights were cancelled. Drove to Philly and got on the LAST flight that left yesterday afternoon- everything after it was cancelled. I am so excited I made it home to see this snow!

And this has nothing to do with snow, but my sister sent Chester a University of Tennessee football jersey. I''m a huge TN fan, so I had to take a pic of him in it. DH is a Georgia fan, so the first thing I did was post a picture on FB.

DH and son drove from Atlanta to meet me at our beach house after work yesterday. They said it was really rough. It snowed hard from Atlanta all the way to Savannah. It finally changed to rain on 95 below Savannah. No snow here on the Georgia Barrier Islands, of course. We had a cold rain.

I''m about 1 1/2 hours south of Atlanta, and we had a decent bit here, too. My friends are all saying it''s my fault because the snow seems to be following me lately. Glad you made it home okay!

The snow is melting really quickly. The shaded areas on the streets will be a mess for a couple days, but it looks like Atlanta will survive!

LOL, try explaining that to Georgians, though! We get two flakes of snow and school is canceled!

We had 7 to 9 inches of snow in central South Carolina last night. Here they freely admit canceling everything so people will stay home rather than driving, panicking and running into various things.
There is an ambulance dispatch andd a fire station close to my house and they were unfortunately very busy last evening.

We live in southern NC and we got it too. I was psyched -- I''m from New England, and I''ve been having winter withdrawal since we came here 8 months ago. I''m sad that it didn''t last (it''s melting already, and it''s 45 degrees this afternoon).
