Was able to tear FI away from sports last night long enough to get his thoughts on a place and date. He just said "I want to be married, nothing else." LOL. That''s him, a man of few words.

Anyway, he agreed New Year''s Eve would be perfect. We can start off the new year married and it will be an easy date for everyone to remember including us. We are both horrible at stuff like that. He had no preference on where so I picked the park where we always go to launch the boat for fishing on the weekends. We''re going to do it early in the day, 11 or 12 so that his parents can drive back home before dark (they live about two hours away).

It''s going to be a small ceremony, his parents and my mom, my cousins will be visiting at the time from another state a few days earlier so they are going to see if they can extend their stay to come as well. We''re going to book lunch at the restaurant we ate at the day we got engaged. No plans for New Year''s Eve night yet other than making it "official" between the two of us ;)

I''m sooooo excited!!!!!

You certainly don''t hang around do you! That''s so exciting! Such a nice way to start a year as well :-) Less than 2 months to go...whoa. Eep!

Congratulations on setting a date, katomm! There''s something very romantic about a NYE wedding.

I LOVE your new tag line too!

Do you already have a dress?

I''ve had the dress and shoes a couple of months. The last few weekends I''ve been playing w/ my hair and makeup to see how I''d like it.

Running into an issue w/ the wedding band I want though. FMIL is trying to change it so I think I''m going to use a different jeweler and leave her out of it. FI is having a hard time finding a band he likes so he better hurry it up!!

She''s trying to change YOUR wedding band? But you''re the one who has to wear it forever?!? Definitely change jewelers, but make sure it''s a good jeweler! Good luck
