It has been a while since I last posted. I have been lurking for months, but some how, I never typed a thing!

Hi everyone

Sorry for not replying sooner... I have been on holiday up in the mountains with no internet

My fiance bought the ring in an antique shop in Bath (UK). It was hand made in 1910-1920 in either England or France (because of the style I am told, as there are no hallmarks apart from plat). The diamond is a ? trasitional cut. He bought it without a certificate, so I dont know much in terms of the stats of the stone. It was sold as a .90 of a carat, but having done some measuring, I think it is more like .80. It is clear, white and has lovely chunky facets. I can see some inclusions on magnification, but I love that my stone has a unique fingerprint. It is eye clean, though!. The ring is only 1mm thick and the bezel has minute milgrain... Basically, when I wear it i looks like there is a diamond floating on my finger...

I will try and get the camera out to take some more pictures...
