Hey PS''ers!

I''m sooooo excited! I decided to pursue my love of bling to the next level and I''m now enrolled with the GIA! My book is in the mail for my first course so hopefully I''ll start within the next week. I''m going to be doing the distance education program, however I will need to take the lab classes at one of their campuses (which will be at least a year from now).

And to celebrate

(even though I didn''t really plan this timing, LOL) my little OEC arrived safely at Brain Gavin''s today to be set into a bezel pendant!

Wish me luck!

Will do icekid!

Thanks Skippy!!!

That''s sooooo exciting Kaleigh! Yes we''ll have to trade notes! That''s awesome you passed your first test. I''m really excited about this and so happy they have such a great online program. I''m hoping to get through w/ it in 1-2 years including the lab classes. I''m going to go to the distance lab in Atlanta (I''m in Northern CA) but my parents live there so it''s a good excuse to visit them. Looking foward to studying w/ you

Wow, that''s super exciting! Are you planning to work as a gemologist afterwards, or is this just for your personal education?

Congrats, that is so exciting! I wish you luck!

Asscher Girl:

Congratulations! You will enjoy the program and learn a lot. I am really curious how the home study program is being run these days. I imagine a lot can be done on line and should go a lot faster. When I did it years ago, everything was done by mail. I never got around to doing the on hands lab classes, so I am only a G and not a GG.

CONGRATS!
