NY is allowing any resident to vote anywhere in the state. That's pretty cool.

I think it's going to be a very long night, too, but I think we'll know by the morning who won. Hopefully! I don't think it will be a landslide.
I don't understand why we can't vote at whatever polling place we choose, no matter what state we're in. In many cases, the place where you vote may be out of your way.
I love to follow politics, especially during an election year, but I STILL don't understand why we have an electoral college. Do you think we'll get rid of it eventually? I know it's been a up for debate for a while now -- probably since 2000!
b/c individual voters can easily be intimidated at the voting booth.Maisie|1352238821|3300100 said:Zoe|1352233815|3300023 said:FrekeChild|1352222411|3299892 said:I'm really hoping there is not a repeat of the hanging chad fiasco of 2000, but I'm afraid we're going to be in for a very long night. I just had to read up on the electoral college. It seems like a strange way to vote a president in. I don't really understand how it works. Why can't each individual vote be counted like we do here in the UK?
