My fiancé & I are looking at this Radiant cut diamond and would love to get your expert opinions on it! It has great sparkle & seems to perform really well, but it also seems to face up a little smaller than a couple others we looked at. Does that seem right looking a the measurements or have we just looked at too many different cuts of diamonds? :loopy:
Also, the jeweler we worked with uses EGL grading, which we heard can be more lax than other labs? Thanks so much for your help!

I'll try to get a picture of it up soon too! Thx!

If it is EGLUSA NY or LA it might be graded accurately. If it is EGL ISrael or International not so much. You need to get an ASET image and post here as well. That will tell you how much light leakage it might have. Can't tell a stone by the numbers or the pictures. The size seems fairly good to me. I had a 2.1c radiant that was 8.89 x 6.65. I had it set East to West and got a lot of compliments on the stone/ring from strangers and friends. It was about 65% depth. EGL F SI2. The smaller tables are nice...mid 50% - 60% If you like it, that is all that really matters.

Hi
Congrats on the diamond shippi g!!
1) EGL- any EGL is not to be trusted
Your jeweler either knows this or they are not a well informed dealer. If they try to say bad stuff about GIA it's a dead giveaway
Since the grade is crucial in detrrminig value buyers of EGL graded stones often get a bad deal
2) Amy guides about table size and other measurements are not accepted by the trade at large
There's a lot of opinion involved
Good luck!!
