Um. August 2008 when he told me to start shopping for an ering stone.

1 year and like 20 days or so

My lovely PSers. Um. FI (kinda), my friend E and my MOH keeps offering, but she''s busy busy!!!

Where are you having the wedding? Is the ceremony site different from the reception site?
Las Vegas, THEchapel at Mandalay Bay, not sure on the reception site yet, but it will be different.

How many BM''s/GM''s are in the wedding?
1 MOH and 1 Best Man

What are your colors?
Um. Silver, white, gray, black, bright blue.

Do you have a theme? If so, what is it?
Nope.

What kind of flowers are you having (bouquets, centerpieces, bouts)?
White roses. Calas are always in the chapel, so I don''t count those.

DJ or band? What kind of music?
None.

What kind of food will be served? (including cake

) How will it be served?
Don''t know yet (maybe this time next week I''ll know!) No cake. Yes, this is odd considering in a former life I was a pastry chef. We are doing a sit-down dinner since there will be around 20 guests.

How many people are invited?
26. I know that 4 of them won''t come. So there will probably be 22 or less.

What accessories are you using? (veil, headpiece, earrings, etc)
Um. 2 pairs of shoes, blingy earrings, necklace is to be decided, bracelet that FI got me for Christmas a while ago.

What dress are you wearing? Are you changing dresses for the reception?
Badgley Mischka silver evening gown. Nope.

Any wedding ring ideas?
Maybe a custom band, and a plain band for sure.

Where to for the honeymoon?
Maybe NYC or Hawaii within a year when we can afford it.

When did you get engaged? 3/18/09

When did you start planning your wedding? Almost immediately after the proposal

How long will you have been engaged before the wedding? 1 year, 5 months and 13 days

What day is your wedding? July 31, 2010, a Saturday

Is anyone assisting with the planning? Not really. My dad is helping us out with the contracts and vendors, and everyone in both families are tossing ideas around.

Where are you having the wedding? Is the ceremony site different from the reception site? Our ceremony and reception are both in NJ at the same location. The ceremony is outside in a beautiful hardscaped garden.

How many BM's/GM's are in the wedding? We have 6 BM's and 6 GM's, two Jr bridesmaids and 1 flower girl.

What are your colors? Pool blue and green apple green

Do you have a theme? If so, what is it? No theme really. We're using the colors in a lot of the decor.

What kind of flowers are you having (bouquets, centerpieces, bouts)? A bouquet of green orchids, hot pink freesias and hot pink roses for me, with BM's having a smaller version, GM's having rose and freesia bout and FI with an orchid and freesia bout. If the green orchids are too pricey, I'll carry hot pink gerberas, white freesias, orangey/yellow callas, orange roses, and pink roses. BM's will carry the same flowers without the freesias. GM's will have the freesias and roses, and FI will have gerbera, callas and freesia.

DJ or band? What kind of music? DJ; We're doing all sorts of music. The DJ is also doing our ceremony music.

What kind of food will be served? (including cake

) How will it be served? We're going buffet style of one chicken, one beef, one seafood, one potato, one veggie, one pasta, onbe salad, butlered hour dervs (during cocktail hour), antipasto table, and a sweet table. I haven't the foggiest on a cake yet, though.

How many people are invited? 125

What accessories are you using? (veil, headpiece, earrings, etc) A veil, tiara, earrings, necklace, bracelet, and a vintage brooch on my bouquet.

What dress are you wearing? Are you changing dresses for the reception? Casablanca style 1948.

Any wedding ring ideas? FI wants a titanium 8mm band with one diamond in the middle. I will most likely have a custom band made for my ring that is almost domed to match flush with my ering, with 10 .03pt diamonds channel set.

Where to for the honeymoon? Punta Cana!!!!

Any favor ideas? We're going to do seed packets or "BBQ luv rub" (meat rub) jars.

Are you going to engage in any traditions during the ceremony/reception? Bouquet toss, garter toss, and father giving the bride away.

When did you get engaged?
May 2, 2009, almost exactly a year from our first date and he''s such a sap that he proposed by recreating our first date!

When did you start planning your wedding?
Honestly...since we started looking at rings when we were together for Thanksgiving 2008. (We''re LDR. I live in St. Pete, Fl and he lives in Seattle, Wa) We didn''t have anything written down or researched though. It was more of a discussion as to exactly what we invisioned our wedding to be.

How long will you have been engaged before the wedding?
16 months and 16 days

What day is your wedding?
September 18, 2010

Is anyone assisting with the planning?
He and I are pretty much doing the bulk of the planning. I''m getting ideas and suggestions from friends and family though.

Where are you having the wedding? Is the ceremony site different from the reception site?
Wedding will be in the afternoon, followed by a lunch reception. We''re hoping to keep the ceremony and the reception at the same place but we haven''t quite figured that out yet.

How many BM''s/GM''s are in the wedding?
We have 5 GM''s and I asked 5 BM''s but one may not make it and we''ll need to find another BM. Hopefully, we''ll have 5 of each.

What are your colors?
Olive green (greeny-yellow), and sunset yellow.....think sunflower colors (kinda)

Do you have a theme? If so, what is it?
Romantic Garden Party is what I have in mind

What kind of flowers are you having (bouquets, centerpieces, bouts)?
Bouquet for me and my BMs and some flowers to float in bowls full of water...no real big centerpieces planned

DJ or band? What kind of music?
We''re thinking of using an IPOD. Also, we have some musically gifted friends and family. We''ll provide some guitars and I''m pretty sure they''ll jump right on in.

) How will it be served?
Buffet style Islander food. Some arroz con pollo, lechon pork, seared tuna...mix of a bunch of cultures. Should be tasty! Thinking of a 2 tier cake...maybe 3 (depending on the cost) and served on plates of course!

How many people are invited?
We''re only ordering 100 invites. I think we''ll use 75 and that should be about 170 guests. There will be children so I''m counting on having at least 10 kids.

What accessories are you using? (veil, headpiece, earrings, etc)
I''m thinking of using a long veil. I want to have flowers or sparkly hair clips in my hair. I will have earring borrowed from my friend. And I think I''ll also have a necklace and bracelets.

Planning on wearing a simple classic dress with a very very small train. (I''ll post pics when I find it...) I want to keep the same dress on...not planning on changing out of it!

Any wedding ring ideas?
We''re not going to have matching rings. We already have his and he picked it out himself. I think I want a micropave half enternity to go with mine.

Where to for the honeymoon?
He''s working on the honeymoon. I think it''ll be Mexico, Hawaii, or on a cruise. Whichever he plans, I know it will be wonderful!

Any favor ideas?
Not doing any favors. We may do bookmarks with our engagement pics and inform the guest that way that we''ll be making donations to Susan G. Komen, and SPCA

Are you going to engage in any traditions during the ceremony/reception?
I think we''ll be able to include some of our Filipino traditions at the ceremony like the veil and rope ceremonies. But I don''t want to have a 2 hour long ceremony or anything. I''m gonna try to keep it under 30 minutes and trust me....for a Filipino Catholic...that''s a short ceremony. Thank goodness we''re not planning on doing it in a church nor will there be mass.

I have attached a picture of FI and me right before he proposed. This is at the beginning of the night and at the end of it...we were engaged!!!!

Ummmm....welll...what do you consider engaged?? Hee hee! We are "engaged to be engaged" - set a date, but still wating on the actual ring!!

About a year ago...but more serisously after my BFFs wedding was over in mid-June.

I''m not catholic or mexican, but I like the traditions of giving a bouquet to the Virgin Mary, the groom giving the bride "13 coins," and the joining of the couple with "el lazzo" (the lasso). Maybe something Ukranian, too (for groom).

We are not have a tish which is the typical party/cocktail hour that comes before the wedding where the bride and groom sort of host separate parties until he is marched in to see his bride.

We are having our ceremony at the Sydney Royal Botanic Gardens followed by a reception at the Royal Motor Yacht Club which is about a 10 minute drive from our ceremony site.

At this point in time White, Black with splashes of Tiffany Blue.

No idea, we are having bouquets and flowered pedestals at the ceremony site.. the reception will be a roving dinner so there will be no table decorations which should save some money.

Are you going to engage in any traditions during the ceremony/reception?
No.. we aren''t doing anything.. no bouquet toss, no garter toss. Although a recently wedded PS''er gave her bouquest to the longest married couple at their reception, I am thinking of giving the bouquet to my first cousin- I was a bridesmaid at her wedding and it will be her 10 year wedding anniversary the year of our wedding. FI and I are very close to them and think they have an amazing relationship.

When did you start planning your wedding? Didn''t actually take the first step to book a venue until this month, but I spent months even before the proposal trying to work out how to not offend people by choosing one country over the other.

How long will you have been engaged before the wedding? Almost exactly one year.

What day is your wedding? Not sure exactly yet, but it will be probably the first weekend in April. If we''re a bit cheeky, April Fools Day.

Is anyone assisting with the planning? Not really, although my parents went and tasted food for me (tough job

) at the reception location.

Where are you having the wedding? Is the ceremony site different from the reception site? YES, haha, you could say the sites are different, since the wedding will be in NE England in April and the reception will be in the Pocono Mountains in the US in May.

How many BM''s/GM''s are in the wedding? None really. J''s best friend is his best man by default, and the friend who would be my maid of honour if I were to have one lives in Australia and *probably* can''t come, although she has said that she will try. Whether she comes or not, if people ask, I will probably tell them that it''s her. They''ll probably understand if she can''t make it.

What are your colors? Um, no idea.

Do you have a theme? If so, what is it? Fun! Well, for the reception. The place has all kinds of kickass things to do, like paddleboats, bumper cars, sailing, go-kart racing, and bumper boats! The wedding theme is probably just us getting married.

What kind of flowers are you having (bouquets, centerpieces, bouts)? No idea. The kind we pick up at the market on the way to the registry office?

DJ or band? What kind of music? iPod! First thing I did (me being a music dork and all) was to make two playlists, one to have in the background while everyone''s eating (chill, relaxing instrumentals mostly) and the lively, fun, quirky music to dance to later.

) How will it be served? Not 100% sure yet, but I think we''re doing a smorgasbord, so a buffet with heaps of choices. Cake will be cake, probably not a fancy one.

How many people are invited? Don''t know yet. The UK wedding will hopefully only be my parents and J''s immediate family (and their families), so maybe 20? The US reception will be a lot bigger, probably around 100.

Where to for the honeymoon? We don’t know yet! Our schedules both got packed and before we knew it, we aren’t available until Spring of 2010! But we are doing a quick weekend in NYC the weekend after we return from the DR and we have coinciding trips to Europe so we are overlapping a bit. I have to be in MUC the week before Oktoberfest starts, and he has to be in Vienna the week after. We compromised and he is taking a couple of days off before his trip to be with me in MUC and we are staying for the first two days of Oktoberfest, then I will take a couple of days off and head with him to Vienna before I come home…

Are you going to engage in any traditions during the ceremony/reception? Mostly Hispanic ones: we will have a lazo, arras (coins), flowers to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Presentation of the Rosary and Bible. My Dad is walking me down the aisle and we are having the traditional dances and toasts at the reception. Our only rule is no cake smashing. Hair and makeup is costing us a very pretty penny and I am going to be PISSED if it’s ruined with cake.

Bouquets and bouts...and possibly a single artificial flower at each place setting. I''m going for all orange lilies, but may need to use orange roses for the bouts.

DJ - a variety.

Buffet - salmon, chicken, carved beef, tons of veggies, salad, etc. We''re also doing cheese and fruit for appetizers during cocktail hour. We will have a cake which will be served by the staff.

* Nope, no theme.

* We had bouts for my dad, my husband, and the best man.

* DJ. Regular reception-type music but we had a list of "do not play" songs (rap, chicken dance, etc.) We had jazz playing during the cocktail hour and maybe dinner.

* We had a sit down dinner with chicken, seafood, and some type of red meat (gosh, now I can''t quite remember). We had a dessert buffet instead of cake.

* I''m surprised that I don''t quite remember but I think we probably had around 120 guests in attendance.

What accessories are you using? (veil, headpiece, earrings, etc)

* Simple jewelry -- small drop pearl earrings from Macy''s and a veil. Oh and I also wore an antique yellow gold diamond & sapphire RHR that was a gift from a family friend.

* I didn''t change for the reception and I kept my veil on the whole time. My dress wasn''t from a designer that I knew and I couldn''t find it online anywhere.

Any wedding ring ideas?

* WF did my engagement ring and wedding band. My ering is platinum and it had a center RB and pear side stones. The prongs are swoopy, not straight. The band has a slight curve to it (which I didn''t want but was recommended).

Where to for the honeymoon?

* We went to Quebec City for our honeymoon.

Any favor ideas?

* We didn''t do favors but if we had, we wouldn''t have chosen something edible. For our welcome bags for guests staying at the hotel, we chose to include jars of blueberry jam since we got married in Maine.

* No traditions during either one. We were supposed to do a father-daughter and mother-son dance but the DJ messed that up completely. I did get to dance with my dad but it wasn''t the same.

What kind of food will be served? Undecided. Going to a food tasting next week. But our guests will get to choose between 3 entrees. Plus will have hot and cold displays for the cocktail hour. As for our cake, I'm going with a standard 3-tier square cake with harlequinn designs. Our monogram with be on top. FI is also having a groom's cake, but the design is a surprise so I'm not allowed to say.

What accessories are you using? Fingertip length veil, floral hairpiece, pearl and diamond necklace, bracelet, and earrings, my engagement ring and my Christian Louboutin shoes!

Are you going to engage in any traditions during the ceremony/reception? Well, our cemermony is going to be as non-religious as possible. FI's family are Jehovah Witnesses and my family is non-demonination Christian. So no unity candles or broom jumping, etc. All bets are off for the reception though. We're doing the toasts, first dances, speeches, cake cutting, garter belt and bouquet toss, and whatever else we can think of.

As far as the cake, it''s gonna be a 1970 Barracuda (Fi''s dream car) popping a wheelie with smoke fondant. LOL. It''s gonna be RIGHTEOUS! White chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and chocolate buttercream. The car will be colored pearl ivory/white, with metallic midnight blue stripes on the sides of the car.

Our DJ does live and regular DJ stuff. He plays the sax, flute and guitar, so during the cocktail hour and dinner he will be playing live stuff, and doing a little crowd interaction, nothing too extensive. Then after dinner he is full on emcee/DJ man. My father is a phenomenal guitarist and vocalist, and he will be singing a few songs during the ceremony and possibly during the reception as well. It is going to be a very musical event.

Sit down dinner. We went to our food tasting the other night and it was SOOO GOOOOD. Passed H''or dourves which inclued thai steak salad, vegetable gyozas, sausage and cheese stuffed baby bellas, Crab cakes, and bruschetta. Our dinner will start with a mixed greens salad with fresh strawberries, champagne vinagerette, and breadsticks, followed by penne alla vodka with a very light fresh tomato cream sauce, and our main entree is either orange chili chicken, or shrimp, scallop and swordfish kabobs with a grape habanero salsa, with asparagus and arugula and asiago smashed potatoes. then cake and desert. we have not chosen our cake yet, but our deserts are berry shortcake shots, pecan clusters, and some chocolate truffle thing, I cant remember those exactly. My sister-in-law and her mother are also making handmade shell shaped chocolates to have placed on each table.

Hotel Deca, a boutique hotel in downtown Seattle. Nope, same.

Dark red, espresso, a little gold and ivory thrown in.

Not really. Vintagey, but not strictly.

Lotsa roses (black baccara), fiddlehead ferns, fluffy ones.

DJ. All of it!!

Passed HDs during cocktail hour, buffet of chicken, pasta, salad, bread, a meat of some sort? Cake will be delicious! LOL, flavors undecided yet.

No veil, flower headpiece, chunky blingy bracelet, big blingy earrings, hopefully FI will get a DBTY sort of necklace. Eeee!!

A puffy lacy number with ruffles. No changing for me!

Got them both already. Mine is diamond pave from WF with 2 pointers. FI''s is a tungsten ArtCarved.

Caribbean cruise!

Candle lighting, but not the usual setup. Bouquet and garter toss, the usual suspects.

When did you start planning your wedding? I've planned for months to lose weight before the wedding, does that count?

I already knew that I planned to elope, and FI and I had been discussing that over the past year or so... other than that, we've looked into premarital counseling, and decided to have an 'at home reception' for friends and family. My mom bought me some bridal mags (ok, a ton!), and I went dress shopping with my mom, sister and god mother, but just for kicks, it was a terrible store but the only one near where we were vacationing, and it was an hour away! So I've done some 'stuff', but I don't think any of it feels like planning to me, just creating a basic framework...

How long will you have been engaged before the wedding? Dunno yet...

What day is your wedding? I have preferences towards Fall, or some date that is significant to us, but I'm not stuck on any of those, we'll have to see what is feasible. Um, this Saturday sounds good to me!

Is anyone assisting with the planning? Everyone is offering... but that's just because they don't want us to elope! FI is supposed to be the planning lead, so we'll see how THAT goes....

Where are you having the wedding? Is the ceremony site different from the reception site? Just the two of us on a beach for the wedding, hopefully. The reception will probably be at a banquet hall or hotel or something...

What are your colors? I don't know if you need colors to elope, but we would use Cardinal and Gold, like our Alma Mater for a reception maybe?

What kind of food will be served? (including cake ) How will it be served? heavy apps or a buffet? I don't want to be tacky and not feed people that are traveling, but until we have a guestlist, it's hard to say because we can't estimate costs

What dress are you wearing? Are you changing dresses for the reception? I'm hoping to find an inexpensive dress that is simple and pretty for eloping, because I want to do a TTD session! I had no real intention of wearing a white dress to the at home reception, but I might just to appease my family and friends who want to feel like the reception is wedding-esque.

Any wedding ring ideas? My band is already pretty fancy, so either a matching one or plain band. I'm thinking plain band for now, and upgrade the band for an annivesary? And I would LOVE to do one of those wedding band workshops!

Where to for the honeymoon? I'd love to go to the south of France or Spain, or maybe Belize or somewhere really tropical. We would elope and honeymoon at the same place...

Any favor ideas? No clue. Are these necessary? I mean, who is it that made getting married so complicated?

Oh, I did snag a garter years ago... it's got our school logo all over it, and a little tiny football!

I just want really great photography, that's my primary concern. I also love photobooths, but they ain't cheap! LOL

The Royal in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Ceremony was in the resort''s Gazebo, cocktails in the garden, reception on the beach

One Man of Honor, one Maid of Honor, and two Best Men

Blue, Green, Yellow

Beachy, Mexican vibe to go with the location

Flowers had to be yellow so we were limited. We went with roses as the main flower.

DJ or band? What kind of music?
We had a guitar player for the ceremony, a mariachi band for dinner and a DJ for dancing. We had a mix of music from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s

Hot and cold HDs during the cocktail hour. Dinner was plated. We had a spring salad with goat cheese, Manhattan clam chowder, beef fillet, strawberry pie with vanilla cream. Wedding cake was Tres Leches.

Gardenia and tulle birdcage veil in hair. Pearl studs earrings. Blue heels.

Pronovias Violino. Think lace and lot''s of tulle! I had a second dress for the after-party.

Dh''s ring is a simple platinum band from Tiffany''s. Mine is an eternity band from Leon. The diamonds in the band came from an eternity ring DH had given me a few years ago for my birthday and I''m really happy they''re now in my wedding ring.

Where to for the honeymoon?
Planning it now. Looks like a week in wine country in California followed by a week in Hawaii.

Any favor ideas?
We did a bunch. We had Welcome Bags that we handed out when the guests arrived. For the actual wedding day, we had flip flops for all the guests as well as ''kissing'' maracas. Our ''official'' favors were tequila shot glasses along with a mini bottle of Patron.

We didn''t do too many. I had my father walk me down the aisle. We did a first dance and a cake cutting. That''s it!
