Second- Totally love your ring!!

I''m sorry about the wedding band though

That''s such a shame!

Looking at your gorgeous ring, I would definitely do either shared prong or a thin channel set with rounds

With the channel set, you wouldn''t have any prong rubbing issues.

I adore Lynn''s rings but I wonder if the fishtail would look too different from your e-ring? Her rings are stunning and look sooo comfy!

Thanks kcoursolle - glad to have the opinion having seen the e-ring, I think it does make a difference.

feb2003bride - thank you, the weight loss was something I''ve really struggled with (and I''m sure will continue to struggle with), but the supportiveness here on PS and especially on the WWT over in Family and Home has helped enormously. Unfortunately, I''ve never cared for the look of channel set bands - I''ve tried really hard to, since I know they would minimize damage, but I really really love the very different look of shared-prong or similar. That''s an interesting point about the differences in styling on the fishtail pave - unfortunately I don''t think its a stock setting for WF so I don''t know that they will have any to photograph my ring with. Maybe I''ll check at work and see if anyone has photoshop so I could photoshop the fishtail pave wedding band and my e-ring next to each other and see how they look...

Hi AG,

FISHTALE, FISHTALE, FISHTALE!! (well thats 3 more votes for it..

My all time favourite set are lynne b''s fishtale pave rings but maybe what feb2003bride said is correct, it may not ''look right'' with your ering. I''ve not seen the wedding ring on WF site but they do have the ering setting available (harmony I think its called). Maybe they could put the band with yours to get a feel for how it would look?

Thanks poppie, and to everyone else. Well, I went ahead and got prices quoted for all the ring styles I was considering, and I''m thinking its likeliest I''ll go with the stock version of the WF diamonds for an eternity ring - its much cheaper than any of the other options, and I think 0.04 ct stones will look fine with my e-ring. I''m going to have them take some pictures with my e-ring when I send it to them for re-sizing in a few weeks and make a final decision then. Thanks again everyone for your input on this.

I think shared prong would look good with your rings, but I'd only do Tiffany or Memoire due to the fact they are set low enough not to scratch the e-ring. I also like at least 3-4 pointers minimum.

(Sorry, I did not see your last post when I posted this reply. I'd be very careful about checking to see if the WF band is set low enough.)

Hi-
I wanted to chime in on 2 things-
1) I have an antique eternity band where each stone is set in it''s own basket- it was ~ 50 yrs old when I got it and I wear it pretty much 24/7 (yes I sleep in it) w/o issue. It''s set very low, so rubbing isn''t an issue. I figure it made it 50 yrs already- and will probably fine for another 50.

2) a friend of my mom''s gained weight after getting married and having 4 boys and she sews so she doesn''t really wear rings. She had her original wedding band made into a pendant, where the goldsmith was able to turn the inner part of the band inside out, so the engraving inside her band showed. Toward the top of the pendant she had some antique stones from various rings set- it was definitely a different/ free formy type of piece, but it was really cool and a perhaps ssomething to consider w/ your original wedding band.

Although I''m blazingly disappointed that we won''t be w-ring twinnies

, I certainly understand financial considerations

... and I think the WF Diamonds For An Eternity ring is GORGEOUS and will look awesome with your e-ring.

Thanks DS - I will be very careful about that. I''m having them photograph the band with my e-ring to be totally sure before I make a final decision, and also, Bob at Whiteflash said he would personally check it to make sure all of my concerns are addressed, so I''m feeling fairly confident on that front.

dtnyc - your band is lovely!! I think, unfortunately, that having something like that made would be outside my budget right now

But I think it will be OK - thanks so much for your input! That''s an interesting idea for the w-band - I''ll think about that as an option for sure.

Lynn - you really are such a sweetie. I''m a little disappointed too, but I might still change my mind, and I really think that either way it will be gorgeous. Thanks so much for the input

I think a 4 pointer shared prong band would look awesome with your 3 stone!

Thanks snlee - I really hope you''re right!
