wedding postage!!!!

i just had our invitations weighed......they need 3 stamps!!! and 1 for the return envelope, obviously. 4 stamps per invite! this is insane.

That was the best advice I had; weigh them before buying stamps. Mine were around .67 cents to mail, not including the return postage for RSVP cards.

ick- hate that. mine needed extra postage not because of weight, but because of the size. the envelopes were a mere 1/2 inch too big for normal cancellation. $.78 stamps...but they were photo stamps, so i spent a ridiculous amount on postage to begin with...

4 stamps? What is the total that you need? Are you trying to use the same type of stamp and that''s why you need 3 on the outer?

he said that mine were over a dollar to mail. i don''t know the exact amount. so i either get 2 matching stamps and a random, or 3 matching stamps! i guess i go with the 3!

weird: when i weighed it myself, the envelope came out to 2.5 oz, which would be 80something cents to mail. i wonder how he got over a dollar? maybe my scale wasn''t accurate.

Is it square?

Mine was in the same weight range as yours, but if it''s oversized it''s an additional price. He should have given you the exact amount. If you give me the dimensions of your outer envelope, I can tell you the exact amount.

I used 1 of the "Wedding Cake" and 1 of the "Golden Rings" on the outer, and "golden rings" on the RSVP.

Mine was $1.30 to mail. Plus the return postage. Yikes! Needless to say, we hand delivered as many as we could.
