Looking for some input on a wedding day gift. My brain is way too overloaded to be creative so I need help!!!! Only have about a month to go!

We have already had a custom made necklace with her deceased mom's ER/WB stones that she absolutely loves. Don't know what to get her for the wedding day now!?!?! Wedding is being paid for out of pocket, so I would like to get a nice bang for the buck in the $2K-$3K range. Any ideas, even if they are not diamond related???

THANK YOU!

Earrings for the big day and thereafter ? Maybe a similar style to the special necklace (how wonderful that sounds)

I was thinking about earrings, but whats the best bang for the buck?

You can never go wrong with diamonds studs. Or if those aren't in budget then diamonds by the yard earrings. All very classic.

I think BGD and GOG are doing sales on pre set stud earrings right now.

On the Jewelry Front:

Shared Prong Bangle Bracelet from ID Jewelry. Ask for Yekutiel and get the most carat weight you can in "PS Quality F/G SI Eyeclean Stones" -- that's what you have to ask for. http://idjewelryonline.com

JUST PLAIN KNOCK OUT GORGEOUS.

What about something with sapphires, like an eternity or earrings? "Something blue" always makes a sweet wedding day gift.

How about pearls? I have seen beautiful bracelets and earrings. I have seen drops set with blue sapphires or topaz that are beautiful to wear on the wedding day. Check out the pearl forum here for ideas and references to other sites.

I like Gypsy's idea of the diamond bracelet, although my personal preference would be one from WhiteFlash because they use higher quality diamonds.

I love pearls but almost never wear them, so I don't think they'd be worn as much as the bracelet above or earrings.

You could get a starter pair of studs from a vendor who does upgrades. Martini or basket settings add $200.

I went for a necklace as a gift for my wife-to-be, but it sounds like you've got that covered!

BGD is running a deal on earrings right now. There is a promo code when you goto the website.

How about these earring-settings:($425)

Wearable long after the wedding day. If you can swing that last pair, I think it will be the best value!

I think all of the above suggestions are good...but I would say look beyond the wedding day...I think it would be a gift for the wedding but it does not have to be worn on the wedding necessarily...earrings can be tricky because she may be wearing her hair up or down and studs may not be her choice for the wedding...jewelry is always very nice...BUT I would think what is it that she really likes...has she admired anything that you can think of....secretly I like the idea of a piece of blue jewelry

My husband gave me a laptop and recorded a video for me with messages from my friends too. I gave him a massive computer screen for gaming. Wedding gifts need not be bling related.

My daughter and her husband exchanged messages in cards that day instead of gifts. The funny thing was, I took hers to him and brought his to her, and they ironically both had bought the other the exact same card!!!

So you don't even have to buy a gift at all for the wedding day. That isn't standard like buying an engagement ring is.

Thank you all for the replies. Some really nice ideas here. I am not worried about jewelry that she can wear that day because of the rings and the necklace that we got. Also my jeweler said that he would loan out anything that we wanted, so that covers anything she needs. I like the matching handbag/wallet idea. She would like that. She has had her eyes on a Michael Kors bag for a little while and I could probably get the matching set for around $500.

So, with the leftovers, I can get some jewelry! I didn't want to get studs that were 1ct tw or smaller. I would rather save and get a more sizable pair. What is the concept of a vendor that allows "upgrades". Also, are their any other diamond earring ideas other then studs? Finally, the bangle pictures you posted are awesome, and definitely will give those some thought. Considering that her ER is a 1.7 ct emerald cut with ascher cut accents, have you seen other bracelets/earrings that would compliment that or doesn't it matter?

Appreciate all the help!

erm, we didn't do gifts...like at all. Not cards, nothin...I am a wedding vendor and that was just not something I did!

Anyway...I vote nice studs, and take advantage of that sale if you can.
