Hi all:

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum, but I''m curious. Just got engaged Valentine''s day with a custom Mark Morrell and now we looking at wedding bands. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you have a hidden gem/gems in your wedding band or your partner''s. What stone shouldn''t be considered?

Thanks!

We just bought a 2.45 stone from BGD so when it is set, I am having "secret" stones placed on the inside of the band (classic 6 prong plat. Tiff setting) ......my birthstone and my fiance's.....I think they usually use sapphires though in any color you want.....I could be wrong though.

Super cool idea, I am excited to see how mine turns out!

I have not heard which stones are better or not to use......since they are on the inside, I am not sure how much it matters since they are not prone to being knocked around at all

I''m getting my husband a band with our two kids'' birthstones inside from BGD. I won''t have it until april though.

Can I be nosy? How much do hidden gems usually cost? I know BGD does it a lot and think it''s such a neat idea

Just email Lesley at BGD and she will give you a quote. I know how much mine are going to be but everyone''s could be different so I don''t want to say a dollar amount and it is wrong

Can anyone give me an estimate? When I email them I don''t hear back for more than a week and don''t want to waste their time on something I prob won''t be getting, I know how busy they are.

Email Lesley [email protected]

A week??? Lesley ALWAYS answers emails within an hour even at crazy late hours they are not even open......how were you attempting to email her??

kristie I am sure that they respond more quickly to customers who are in the process of buying as compared to customers making a casual inquiry

As should be the case.

OP I like the idea of secret stones, but in reality you will never see them unless you take your ring off. I thought of it at one point and then realized this and nixed it.
